It has been 5 years since I have had a Gen. 2 and would be interested in knowing what fluids and oil filter might be recommended.....My car (01 Roe SC, 4400 mi. )will be delivered today....Thanks very much....

OEM Fliuds for 2001 Viper:


Motor oil...Mobil 1 10 W-30 (best price is 5 qt. jugs at Wal-Mart)...read the label carefully as there are several different 10W-30's made by Mobil 1 that are sold there....AND...you MIGHT wish to consider switching to a different oil since you are running a Roe...and, presumably, still live in a Southern climate.

You might consider using Mobil 1 or Rotella synthetic turbo diesel oil 5-40. Per our oil guru much higher in anti wear additives and detergent. Per him all diesel oils superior to gas oils due to a much stouter additive package. I switched to the mobil 1 5-40 but next time will use rotella since its 1/2 the price. GTS Bruce
