Fuel Tank Removal on 96 RT/10

I am having a long crank time and everyone says that it is the fuel pump. So, I just wanted to know is their anyone out there who has removed the fuel tank from a 96 RT/10? I have removed the back panel, just looking, I don't think the where the fuel tank bolts down to the frame will fit through the opening of the panel. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
