How does Maxcare work when selling or trading in your car?

I bought a maxcare package for my gts earlier. I know you can transfer it once to the new buyer, but what happens if you sell it to a dealer? When the dealer sells the car does the remaining warranty transfer over onto the new buyer? Thanks folks.

You can sell your warranty (cash in) and they will pro-rate it and refund you the difference.

You own the contract , so it is yours to dispose of. If selling to another individual it is a great Sales Tool, as he/she may not be able to get one on the car if the age of the vehicle is beyond the designated purchase phase ( 4 years from in-service ). If you trade it in to a Dealer, cancel it and get a refund for yourself, as it is your property, or negotiate for a better trade in if you include it with the car.
