inner fender well removal

i got it almost off, do i have to drill the 2 rivets on the dog leg out, looks like the only thing holding it in place , left rear [ replacing fuel filter ] thanks to all car is a gen 1

If your removing the rear inner fender well you will have to remove the rivets. New rivets will cost you about 12 bucks a piece.

$12 for a rivet!!! Only on a Viper.

Use a hole saw from the outside. Put a fuel door there to patch when done.

Most bodyshops will be able to get you a similar blind rivet for a couple bucks, take the old one so they can match it up.

That or just put a J-nut on the liner and use a button head socket head cap screw, plus I made a plastic washer for the screw, no need to drill the rivit out next time.... I hate drilling out rivits, can slip, drill can spin the head of the rivit and cause some damage..
