Labour Cost for Rear Gear Swap

Hey all

Just picked up a new 3.55 gearset and I am wondering what I should be looking at labour wise to do the swap?

i wouldn't let a dealer do it unless it was tator. id go to a gear.trans shop that khows to do them

I did 3.55's, unitrax rebuilt my pumpkin and installed the gears.Mechanic installed in car total cost right around 1100 as I remember

3/4 hrs removing diff
4 to 5 hrs changing gears & set-up
1 hrs to install/road test

Labor will range from $90-110 per hour.

$4-500 - 4 to 5 hrs changing gears & set-up
$100 - 1 hrs to install/road test
$1000 - new set of rears after mechanic road test

Not when you try to get all the rear end bolts off after 10years and a lot of hard driving.
