I know that the 5791 locking gas cap fits our Vipers, but does anyone know whether 5991 is the same? According to the Autozone site, 5991 is just two of the 5791's that are keyed alike.
I ran into a similar problem with my 98 GTS... two different caps technically fit, but one was too thick and the fuel door wouldn't close over it.
You might be wondering why I need two 5791 locking caps... well, I found out that my truck can use the same cap. I didn't believe it at first, but then I went to the garage to switch the caps. Perfect fit (except that the truck cap was too thick for the fuel door on the Viper to close).
