Looking for a silver \'98/\'99 GTS

I'm looking for a '98/'99 silver(no stripes) GTS. If anyone knows of a nice one, please let me know. I have already checked e-bay/ autotrader.

Check out the 98's closely as some of the body panels did not match well in terms of color/shade (I have read that in many places). That was one reason I went with my silver '99. Silver does look great on a Viper.

I can attest to that. Silver is an awesome color for the Viper, but the paint from the factory can be blotcy looking under certain light conditions.

I just bought one In Ny I will have It here on saturday there is one for sale in hemmings motor news www.hemmings.com its a 98 gts hope this helps I looked for a long time silver is very hard to find..

So what are you planning to do with this silver gts????????? Going the forced induction route? Twin turbo or paxton is my guess.

Whatever you do to it I know it will be the fastest in its class. Your all motor car is absolutely incredible or maybe it is just the driver. I guess your tired of beating everyone in the all motor class, no seems to be close.

Thanks for all the help guys. I'm going to sell my MTI hardtop Vette and replace it with another Viper. I will let you know what I get. I want to build another car, maybe something my wife can drive also and don't want to change up my all motor car.

I'm friends wih Chris Evans from Louisville, KY. I think he bought a MTI vette from you. It's pretty dang fast. We raced one night and we were pretty dead even. (Before supercharger was in place).

Nice job. We both chuckled when we saw the Greddy name under the hood.

I am glad to hear you are getting your wife a viper. I wish my wife had a little more passion for the sports cars.

BTW, twin turbos do act just like stock until you get on the throttle hard. Stock with normal driving and incredible power at the track , best of both worlds.

Just giving you a hard time. Happy hunting. I would ask Mike at ringgold, woodhouse, and latham motors to look for you. Let me know if you need their numbers.

Chuck, the '73 is a .30 over 455. Eagle crank,rods, Edlebrock aluminum heads, Tremec TKO II 5spd, Hotchkis suspension, Torque Tech exhaust. I just got through doing a nut&bolt restoration.

Those Trans Ams are beautiful - my first car in high school was a mint '78 6.6 TA - brings back memories

I just wanted to thank everyone for their help and input, I did get a car today. It's a '98 GTS silver, B&B headers, B&B exhaust, K&N's, audio system ect. I will post some pictures tomorrow, after I lower it and change the wheels.

Here are a couple of shots of the '98. I spent most of
the day cleaning/detailing the undercarriage. While it
was on the lift, we lowered it a little. Tomorrow I will
get to the inside and outside. I also wanted to thank a
fellow Viper owner, Brad Boden('99 GTS RSI), for helping
me work on it today.

I am glad you found a 98 GTS. Since I have seen all of these pictures I think I have decided to keep mine after speaking with you and seeing the limited number of 98's. Especially sice mine has only 5k miles. I like the wheels you have on yours what are they and did they come with the car? I am actually looking to buy now a set of wheels and eibach springs to make my car have a better apperance. If you happen to kno where I might be able to buy a set of used wheels either HRE or Fikse 18 or 19's let me know along with 1" Eibachs. Again I am glad you found one and didn't buy mine now I can keep it and have some fun making it look like yours minus the blower.

ChoiceViper, those are the Texas state inspection&registraton stickers.

katzmeifucan97gts, I'm glad you decided to keep it. I had the HRE's on my red GTS, I got a set of lightweight wheels for it and put the HRE's on the silver car.

Awesome TAs SW! Is there any reason you don't have Honeycombs? With the kind of dough you must have you could get Purner to make you some 18 inch replicas.
