My New 19\" HRE 543 Wheels Pics. Thanks PhoenixGTS

i had an itch for new wheels so decided to buy some used ones here on the VCA. i private messgd mike (phoenixGTS) and we made a deal on his set. he quickly dropped them off to www.wheelspecialists.com and had them refinished and powder coated black for me just like the way i always wanted them. two weeks later they are here and they look better than new without that $7k + price. phoenixgts kept me upto date with everything that was going on and so did darren young from wheelspecialist.com. im so happy with them and they came out perfect. only thing that sucked was HRE sent me lug nuts without a key to put em on. i had to buy another set of tuner lugs with a special key cause a regular crobar would not fit into the holes of the HRE wheel. you think they tell you about it.

now one quick question for all you lowered viper guys. obviously the car sits 1" higher now cause of the bigger rim. im planning on getting a set og eibach springs to lower it back to stock ride height. do i also need those lowering caps that jonB sells?

anyway thanks mike and darren for all your help.

LOOKS GREAT

I always like the black on yellow look. If I were going to do black on my car I would get the same rims.

enjoy

Re: My New 19

the car would only be 1/2" taller wouldn't it ? ?

1" is the diameter not the radius

Looks good!

Ride height also depends on the sidewall differences in the 18" tires to 19" tires.

Are the 19" sidewalls shorter than the 18" sidewalls making the overall diameter about the same?

Hey D!

Saw you on the LIE last night. The wheels look great. They really set off the paint. NICE!

Re: My New 19

I think that it is great that we get to "know one another" well enough on this board to make a deal like this happen. Dimitrious just sent me a check for the whole amount on faith, which then allowed me to work ******* getting the refurbishment done without concern for getting stuck with wheels with black centers (I would have done silver if I would have done it on spec without a buyer). Dimitrious now we both need to change our avatar pictures!

The Pilot tires are 285-30-19 up front and 345-30-19 out back which makes the fronts just a bit taller (maybe .25") than his old stockers and the rears are about 1.6" taller than the stockers. Dimitrious I think the height on your car looks perfect. With you living in the city I say no lowering. My car scraped all the time with Eibach springs and those wheels and tires. For some reason your car already looks pretty low - the wheel gap is perfect. Nice to see the wheels/tires in a nice new home.

Re: My New 19

the car is raised for sure. my front doesnt scrape anymore when i go in and out of my drive way and also i can tell this fro the side sill. there is just a big space between the ground and the car. its gotta be dropped just a bit. i wonder of lowering caps will do the trick or do i need eibachs. front tires are 285/19 and rears 345/19. hey mike youtr car moves dude. ive seen 4 vipers on the way back from hamptons.

Wheels look great, as does the car. I'm thinking about doing my HRE 546's, and was wondering what it cost to do the wheels? Thanks.
