need help ID a hose

I found this hose broken. It also goes into the firewall. Can someone tell me what this hose is for?

I believe it operates the vents that allow fresh, outside air to come in the car when running the a/c or fan.

It actually does more than that... it is a vaccume line. leaks in the vaccume system are bad...so definitely patch that one.

If you ever noticed that "defrost" is on no matter what position your knob is in... that right there is the problem.

That's the vacum [source] hose that goes to your heater/AC controls to run the doors in the H/AC box.
