If I am attempting a launch for a quarter mile or a 0-60 time, what is the best RPM and clutch technique? I have read where people like to launch from about 2400 RPMs, so does that mean I just drop the clutch? Help me out please...I want to take the beast to the track but don't really want to be embarassed.

If it is your first time I wouldn't pop the clutch. Just engage the clutch and gas quicker than you do leaving a street light.

Practice, Practice, Practice! Every chance I get I practice no spin launches. I don't care who's watching even if I'm only trying to get to 35mph quick! lol. What I can't do is smoke the tires. Must be a coordination thing!
