So, I was ready to order the Maisto 1:24 GT2 or GTS-R, so I could get a Gen II hood to swap out on my project Gen II RT/10. But, then I noticed that the ad did not mention opening hood, so I asked and found that the hood did not open. The next few that I found, I made sure I asked...none of them had opening hoods.
I am waiting for answer from a seller that lists opening hood on his. Not sure what to do if his also does not. I am not looking to cut the car apart and, even if I do, not sure how I would mount it.
I have a Bburago GTS which has the hood, but it mounts differently and not sure it would fit on a Maisto.
For me, cutting the three vents out of the Bburago hood and trying to place them on the Maisto RT hood is out of the question.
Any suggestions???? Or, should I just leave it part way completed as a '96...remember, my objective was to build a 98 Gen II to replicate my RT.
