Yes, I have every intention on returning in Sept. There are two events scheduled. One is Sept 12-15 and another 19-22. I likely won't be there for both. I have hopes of attending Viperdays in Sept. also. It would be great if we can put together another team. It was fantastic seeing all the Vipers there in May. Although, I ran into some bad luck it was still worth the trip. I think its a great way to test your Viper and your nerve.

Art, what did you ever hear on that hood latch? Haven't seen that one before on these cars.
Some of the Vipers will be returning in Sept but VOI-7 is about the same time and several will be at that.
We should target may 2003 for a big Viper turnout. Roger Morgan, Team Captain Viper, and Bill Bagshaw are working on getting the whole Team great rates at the big downtown hotel as the featured team.

One of my hood strikers broke as you may have heard. Very interesting, for me at least. I ordered two new ones when I got back. Comparing them side by side their is a VERY noticable difference in the thickness of the metal at the flat spot where the holes are to bolt the striker to the hood. I would say the new ones are very nearly twice as thick as the old ones.

Which weekend are you planning on going?
There are two possible choices and they both use the 90 mile streach of hwy 318 so its a matter of picking a weekend.

If you plan on going to the event next May now is a good time to make your room reservation. The Viper Team has rooms blocked at the Nevada Hotel & Casino, Ely and you only need to mention you are with Team Viper. The phone number is listed at www.silverstateclassic.com . Its not to early to call, so go ahead and call. If you are going to the September event you are kind of on your own as many of us will be at VOI.
Next May will be the largest turnout ever for the Viper Team and we will have cars in all classes from 170 thru 110.
Art, double check those hook latches and get ready.

I am planning on doing the first event in Sept.....and, I am in for the "Big-Turnout" in May 2003.
I am trying to get my roll-bar & harness ordered and installed in time for the event.....SO I can get teched for the higher target speeds....
