Buy MSD wires. $60 at Summit and pick up some performance. Save the originals for the car show in 20yrs.

Viperholics,

2 Questions:

1.) I want to replace my spark plug wires on my 1998 GTS with OEM. How much?

2.) I may be able to get a set off a 2001 GTS, not used. Any difference?

Thanks in advance....

Lifetime warrenty Jacobs (blue) $70-80 , even if you pull
them apart getting them off, they'll replace it...
One of the lowest ohm ratings, well engineered... I've still got some > 10yrs old on a 455 Firebird.

Rdustman,
Are Jacobs the best? That is somewhat subjective, however, I have had them on my 1996 Chrysler Town and Country for 4 years and 60,000 miles (105,000 miles total), and they were just analyzed with a tune up and had new conductivity, no leakage. Also, I know many drag racers who use them on high RPM, high compression race engins and they don't fail. I have them on my '96 Viper, and the car runs perfect, including Dyno testing last week. http://www.jacobselectronics.com.au/
Go to their site an see the way they are constructed.

Don,
I am dying to know what your car dynoed at? Hopefully to give me an idea of what my 96 should be, since I don't have a dyno for 300 miles

Please e-mail me the dyno #s at [email protected]

I have the 96 white/blue stripes RT/10...Smooth Tubes
an dK&Ns, HF cats, Corsa Cat Back 3" system, and new
tires...!

Re your stripes on your 96, are they painted on? Did you have them remove the original stripes (which were decals)?

Approx what did you pay for the stripe application?

thanks
Tomer

Since you need new wires, go for the aftermarket ones. They do increase throttle response quite a bit. I have the 8.5 mm blue MOPAR wires and I like them. Reguardless who makes them, get a higher performance wire set.IMHO

I'M NO EXPERT BUT NOONE HAS MENTIONED MAGNECOR WIRES. I HAVE A SET OF 10MM WIRES
THAT I HAVEN'T INSTALLED YET BUT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE VERY HEAT RESISTANT AND DURABLE. THE DODGE HIGH PERFORMANCE WIRE BOOTS
WILL EVENTUALLY COME APART IF YOU'RE DOING MUCH PLUG CHANGING. MINE DID. ALBERT CHOLUBER MIGHT BE ABLE TO GIVE SOME BETTER INFO. ON MAGNECOR. I BOUGHT MINE FROM HIM.
