SVS Shifter Install?

I received my SVS shifter that I bought on the "Group Buy". It looks really nice. I read the "How To" page on intallation of a B&M shifter in the GENI and GenII cars. Has anyone put theirs in a GEN III car yet? If so, are the basic steps the same and about how long did it take? Any help is appreciated.

Another person and I installed a hurst shifter a few months ago. Decided to install from top side because we felt we needed a lift to install from the bottom.

I would think the basic steps would be the same. It took us about 2-3 hr and that included the time we spent trying to install underneath and then deciding to go from the top.

Wasn't install instructions included? Did you receive the 2 shafts.

Think you will like the shifter.

Thanks for the reply. I only bought the short shaft (bolt). I think I will like that one the best with my factory shift knob. SVS told us there were'nt any instructions with the shifter. SVS said they would take some pics and give a detailed write up but I don't know when that will be, so I think I will take your advice and go in from the top.
