trunk lock

my trunk lock on my 1994 is having a problem. when i unlock it after i raise it i have to put the key in and turn it all the way and then drop it really hard, once in a while it will latch if not i have to put the key back in and turn it again and repeat again. any suggestions?? used to work fine up until about a month ago

Try lube on the latch.
