Valvetrain Noise?

While sitting in my car with the windows up, and radio turned down, valvetrain noise is very noticeable. It just has a lot of ticking noises that can be heard easily at idle and low RPM's while inside the car.

I usually put the windows down and turn the radio up, and then it is not noticed as much.

Is this pretty typical and normal, or do I have engine problems?

Thanks.

Chris>>>in past posts, I remember several owners mistaking the sound of the injectors for valve train noise. Tick>tick>tick....apparently the injectors can make a ticking noise that some people hear clearly and others don't. Hope this helps. I wouldn't panic. Pete the ex glass guy and hot rodder

Thanks for the replies guys. The ticking gets faster with engine speed.

ViperJoe, It is definately Engine noise. I have not yet noticed any NGR on my car.

Thanks
