I just got mine home, and realized a couple of things, I would think are missing from my "new" 2004. Please correct me if these are not included, or add what should have been. Before I call the dealership, I wanted to clarify my assumptions.

I got these:
-2 sets of keys
-front license plate bracket
-convt top cover
-owners/service manual
-some emtpy (opened) plastic bag (size of a sandwich bag) with a barcode on it [I wonder what was in there]

Things I might be missing
-floor mats?
-the "something" that was in that plastic bag
-??? anything else?

Thanks All.

Sounds correct to me but I never got the convt top cover. I believe this came into effect in later production models. Please correct me if I a wrong.

Also I did receive the floor mats. 2 keys , license plate front cover which I will never use.

Cheers
Patrick

I don't remember if I got anything in a plastic bag but I got the convertable top cover, 2 keys w/ fobs obviously, owners/service manual, front plate brackets, full tank of gas, an ugly dodge hat, etc. etc.

No floor mats they are not standard with the Viper!

You got everything that came with it.

Ricky is correct, floor mats are not standard and the ones from the dealer are horrible! Fangs is no longer recognizable on the driver's side, mind you my car is only 10 months old!

Patrick,

The 2003's are the ones that did not come with the convertible boot.

Does anyone know where I can get a picture of the covertible cover. I am seeing the dealer on Wednesday and I thought I would bring it to his attention.

Thanks
Patrick

I don't have a picture of the cover installed since I have never installed it but I like keeping it in the trunk since it sort of looks like a gun case lol :D

I definitely would recommend the convetible cover. While the top down look is clean, the boot really finishes the look of the car. It fits surprisingly well considering it is just pressed into place.

Trunk liner came standard on 2004 by my recollection.

2003's had bare, painted metal in trunk...had to buy the liner mats (bottom and sides0 and self-install.

Maybe this is what WAS in the empty bags found in the 2004's as mentioned above.

Most dealers will throw in the floor mats if you ask; My dealer could not imagine selling one of the highest priced Dodges in his inventory without them. Mine have held up pretty good.

'04s also (in many cases) came with:

- Improperly torqued cam bolts

- Finger-tight balancer bolts

- Weak differentials

- NO yellow color choice!

When you hear a loud thud coming from the engine compartment you should know that it's time to go in and get the dealer to check them. :p

Only '04s built before 01/31/04 had the cam bolt torquing issue. Good thing mine was built after that.
