When stopped at a light or sign IN TRAFFIC, be sure that you can SEE THE CONTACT PATCH of the rear tires in front of you. In this way, you can have room to evade a rear-ender, or a carjacker...leaving an escape route. So many drivers pull up really close to the back of the vehicle in front, trapping trapping themselves. Folks trying to trap you have a "gotcha" if you cannot see the bottom of their rear tires.
