    Re: 97 Blue also LE edition does not necessary mean the color it could mean all the extra badges, flat black on the bottom of rear fascia, the numbered badge in the car, the color of stitching in the seats, alot of different things to make it stand out

    they changed when the Gen III viper was released, but the roof and hatch on the coupe Gen II are still painted with 2k"low bake" I beleive its Akzo, The Gen I,II we used Sikkens

    the paint we use is BASF laquer high bake "1K" it does not get hard until it reaches atleast 260 degrees, but it is alot softer than the AKZO that was used before on the 1st and 2nd gen Viper, but when we do spot repairs we use AKZO "2k low bake, hardends at about 140 to 150 degrees",

    yes thats all true, it was DCX choice to go with the 1k on the ZB and not the original 2K on the earlier SRT, GTS models, but we do work on new products to make the paint jobs more durable

    when you first bought your cars, we at ASC put forth alot of time and effort into making the cars a show-room standard paint job

    Re: ASC Empolyee We paint completely different than any body shop, but the black in most shades are very close to match so if someone paint specific parts of your car make sure they paint the entire part, the whole front fascia for example. At my job we should work something out with the owners...
