You are correct, the tradeoff for the travel distance is force. It's a little stiffer but customers are saying they hardly noticed a change in pressure. During development we sat in downtown Denver traffic for hours to make sure it's still a smooth drive and that's why we chose 20%.- REM SPEEDEKS

We redesigned the linkage set with new pivot pin locations that result in a 1.2x faster motion ratio, which equals 20% or 1.5 inches less pedal travel.
