wheels
17" wheels won't clear the rear brake fittings. 17's will fit the front. You can get shorter fittings from places like West Coast Vipers. Then the 17's will fit on the rear. Jeff- SoloIIRacer

CCW Purner Drag Weels or Rims
If you are wanting to put 17" rims on the rear, then yes, you do need to make a change for them to clear. You will have to get new rear brake lines with shorter banjo fittings, the stock ones are very tall. Even after doing this, you will need to check clearances closely. Did Kumho come out with 18s

Did Kumho come out with 18s
After a 2 year wait, Kumho has finally made the correct size 18" race tires (Ecsta V700) for the Viper. *BUT* and it is a big but, they legally aren't made for the 13" rim, they only go up to 12.5". 18" Kumhos
Re: 18 I believe that those are for Europe only at this time. I went to the European Kumho site a few weeks ago and saw that they had a 335 18 Ecsta listed, but wasn't available yet. Has anyone tried to stretch the new 315 18" 710 Kumho on a 18x13" rim yet? Jeff- SoloIIRacer

315 Victoracers on the front on 17x12" CCW's, and 335 Ecsta's on 17x13" CCW's out back. Kumho doesn't offer 315 Ecsta's, nor do they have 335 Victoracers. Wouldn't it be great if they offered a monster of a rear race tire for us Viper racers, like a 365 or maybe even bigger to fit on those...- SoloIIRacer

I was running 17x12 on all 4 corners with 335 Ecstas, but the car was extremely loose under power. I was hoping to run this combo to maximize tire wear, but it just wasn't working. Most comfortable sports car seat

front suspension sport shim, camber and toe settings
That is what we did on our 02 GTS last weekend for an autocross. The front was maxed out using the adjustments in the suspension, but it wasn't enough camber, so we pulled the shims. The car gained about 1 degree per side, and toed out quite a bit, I think it was over 1/2". We put 1.5 turns...- SoloIIRacer

San Diego Viper owners/autocrossers chime in.
The event went really well, nice course, nice weather, huge turnout (over 300). The 3 regular Vipers where there, Dale, Dave and Clark, and of course the new comer in the yellow GTS The GTS was amazingly easy to drive, it didn't put a foot wrong all day.
