Word of warning - GTS FE on that auction site now

Just looking to inform anyone who may have seen this car (#215 of 360) on that auction site that its not what he says it is. I looked at it back in December-January time frame. Its not nearly as clean as he says and he basically told me no when I asked about getting it up on a lift somewhere. It was stuffed into a garage with furniture all around, almost couldn't get in the car at the time. No disclosure at the time about the salvage title business. Told me specifically no accidents. Run quickly. To top it all off, he was quite a **** and ultra shady. Something about how he has 40 million in the bank and this car isn't worth him time and he just wants somebody to take it no questions asked. My small payback to you for my two hour one way drive to look at your car that you still haven't sold Jeff Dane...is this post here.

He was advertising it on Craigslist first back when I looked at it. DarcShadow clued me into it quickly after it was posted and I left work early and saw it the same day. He was asking $36k on CL then raised it to $38k. A price I think he could pretty easily get with that mileage in a clean FE car. I was ready to pounce if it checked out. He said he had two more guys coming that night to look at it, and three more the next day.

He said it used to be his dad's who passed away last year. After a little checking from someone handy while I was driving, someone with his last name did die in the surrounding areas of Bell, TX last year so at least that checked out.

I learned quite a bit from going to look at it...it was just the two hour drive to look at his terribly misrepresented car along with his attitude that annoyed me.

Oh well, I found my dream car two months later!

+1 $40million@2%=$800,000/365=$2,191.78per day=$66,669.68per month, Jesus, he makes almost as much as me and that's just interest boys and girls. That's 2 Vipers per month :lmao:

Actually from what I understand any frame damage ANY results in salvage title. If the frame was ripped at the tie down hole and repaired that would result in a salvage as silly as that may be. If that is all that is wrong I'd be OK with that. But I would have to inspect it or have another third party inspection prior to purchase. If that inspection is denied then NO SALE!. If the putting it on a lift was denied then there must be other issues. I'd like to see the car myself.

There is another post about this car somewhere on here. The guy listing the car actually stole the pictures from another memeber on here. After getting harassed by a few VCA memeber's he finally took his own pictures.

Something not right obviously.

Run don't walk from this one. I may throw him an offer for 20K tho
