Help Me ID a 2001 ACR
It was my understanding that only GENI's had thermostats and that GENII non-ACR's were pressure switches, i.e. at idle/low oil pressure, no flow through cooler to help A/C condensor condense, under higher rpms/oil pressure, valve opened to allow oil flow through cooler. Tom, fact or fiction?- Ron

Water on floor board?
The duck bill valve under the airbox on the passenger side of the engine sometimes sticks shut, and if it does, water accumulates until it overflows into the passenger footwell.- Ron

Key transmitter (fob) for 2001 GTS

Your right Dave, the grease isn't absorbed and eventually does seep out usually in a liquified form, but what's the gain for the risk & mess? My obsession with not stressing the boot comes from an old Trans Am greasing that I did that literally split the boot in two. Boot was much older and...- Ron

Neutral Gear rattle/Oil pan gasket=HELP!!!
Had my rear main seal replaced twice, then the oil pan gasket until dealer finally figured out that the cam plug was leaking in the back of the block. Easily seen in the picture below borrowed from MADMAX's excellent post...- Ron

Noob question: greasing ball joints??
I concur completely with mjorgensen. I pump only until I see the boot just begin to react, then stop. Based on where the zerk fitting is placed, fresh grease is inserted to the wear area 1st, so a few pumps flushes the most important spot. This assumes that you've cleaned the fitting before...- Ron

Water on floorboard of passenger side
There might be nothing wrong. (besides a poor design) If the volume of water entering the airbox exceeds the capacity of the drain tube to drain the water, it will overflow into the passenger footwell. Many that attended VOI7 fully understand this phenomenon.- Ron

Neat Lift! Anyone have any experience?
Dave is right, the scissor lift pickup up points on the GENII are on the factory lift points. there is no contact anywhere near the front fascia. On my minivan / 300 / LHS / Trans Am / whatever, it picks up on the pinch welds in the same spot the spare tire jack would, only over a larger area...- Ron

I have a double scissor lift as it was the only option my floor could handle (4" thick, 2,500psi concrete with many expansion joints). Not only was the concrete insufficient for a 2 post, the garage bay wasn't wide enough to avoid constant door dings. I also wanted a native wheels free lift...- Ron

While I certainly agree with Tom's comment, if you did want to play with it, this version looks a little more serious than the EBAY model: FilterMAG: Magnetic Oil Filters finish the Job Your Filter Started.
