Thanks, you saved me from taking mine off the wall. I might add that the rear of the top is retained in two holes in the lower top frame - behind the door. The latches swivel to retain the top. Works pretty well!
I agree. I wouldn't sell my 03 for that. Sure it is winter but spring isn't far behind. Till the new car comes out, there aren't more Vipers out there!
I have seen postings from folks at NARRA events but don't remember one about the Beginner PDE Performance Driver Education training. Anyone done one of these lately? What do they look for at tech? What equipment do you need to participate? Thinking of doing the Road Atlanta event in April...
Don't know if your join date is indicative of how long you have owned a Viper but as someone who is also fairly new to Vipers I would add this advice. First I added new tires. Big difference and much safer. I changed to a 3.55 rear end and was very happy with the better driveablility. I...
58 degrees and partly cloudy in Tennessee yesterday. Had a 100 mile cruise with the top down. What better way to bring in the new year? But it is 35 today, no top down for me.
I have had a Rotary lift (asymetric) for 20 years and it has performed flawlessly. There is a reason Rotary has been in business so long. They build great lifts. I also have a Nusbaum (German) lift that is excellent and has dual controls - which is really nice but they are expensive now. The...
So we agree after all? I just thought it curious he had one in his boat. I see lots of them in hotrods - just don't know how they last and they sure are expensive!
My local Parts Pro at Advance does not recommend Optimas for cars - apparently they have had several failures and at least one damaged car. He does have one in his boat however.
Maybe I don't understand your problem but my '03 has 80 psi when I start it. After warming up, it still has about 75 psi with Mobil 1 0W40 and a Viper oil filter. At idle warm it will drop to about 50 psi but as soon as I get over 1000 rpm the oil pressure goes back to 75 psi. In really cool...
bluesrt is correct. Most cars have a way to supply water to the heater before the thermostat opens so you get heat without the entire cooling system warming up first - otherwise you'd be mighty cold for a while in the winter. Normally coolant flows upward from the lower hose to the top once...
So maybe our new club motto could be "We drive to eat and eat to drive". It was a lot of fun and Ed and Faye are definitely the hosts with the most. I especially enjoyed the 360 degree burnout by our "visitor".
It won't be eventually. The velcro will fail first hot day. Like you, I just keep it handy so I can set it and then put it aside. But it saves your leg and makes cruising soooo much better!
Be sure to add the friction modifier. The fluid change will help but you can't forget the additive! Mopar gear oil and modified is pricey but you can't do without it. I used Royal Purple gear lube and the Mopar additive when I changed my fluid. While you have it up, do the transmission too -...
Exit 333 on I-75. Word has it party to begin at 11:00 or so. Anyone going from the Middle Tennessee area, give me a call. Gina and I will be leaving at 8:00 or so CST

You obviously missed my point - maybe it's on your head. I said I would trust any of the reputable dealers mentioned to deliver me a new car with enough miles to make sure it was OK. I have bought new cars - not Vipers - and was not concerned. Whining about how many miles and the idea that it...
I should have also said that neither lift I have will go under the Viper without a bit of work - this is something you don't have a problem with if you buy a drive on - just make sure the ramps will clear the undercarriage.
I have a Nusbaum (German) and a Rotary. The Nusbaum (Nut Tree) is expensive but it has controls on both sides and double cylinders that work like you would expect a hydraulic cylinder to work. (Some inexpensivie lifts have only one hydraulic cylinder and lift with cables. ) Nusbaum lifts...
