Anyone know this CA Copperhead?
...but JEEBUS it's in crappy shape! Drove it Monday PM in the ACR and it was whap-whap-whap over the joints... and the Sport Cups tried to perform a couple lane changes on their own once we shifted over to the express lane. My experience is SBC-oriented, so please forgive me if I'm drawing unfair comparisons. But it seems unreasonable to expect longevity and performance from an FI application that has no intercooler/aftercooler. Especially without a fully forged motor. What's the intercooler setup? Is it optimal?...sounds like it may not be if a methanol kit was used at only 5-6 psi. IMO, this type of setup should be able to be adequately cooled by intercooling alone. I run an AlkyControl kit on my turbo Trans Am (LS1)@ 11.5 psi. It's boost referenced...- rw99

Wow, that's a new one to me: managing to lose control of your vette right outta the water box! A Z06 lost it on only the third run of the morning when I was at Sacramento in January... got wild and just refused to lift. Real pinball show. And part of his problem? A negligible burnout...- rw99

Good info, thanks... so you adjusted shocks to track settings, did you change ride height? Any uneven tire wear after a few sessions using stock alignment? BTW, nice color!- rw99

I'll dare to be different, if it comes to that! Just have to keep a "clutch shoe" in the car at all times... re: the Piloti's, my main question is whether the sole/outer of the left shoe is somewhat narrow, while the right shoe always has a wider reinforced sole and upper for use on...- rw99

Asymmetric driving shoes?
Haven't had my hands on a pair of Piloti's... is the left shoe really more narrow than the right? I'm trying to figure out if their right shoe "reinforced" outer edge is mostly marketing hype or a truly usable feature. Yah, FedEx just brought it today. Not the one that came with the car, but... anyway. Seca is my favorite of our "local" tracks (with Thunderhill and Infineon also nearby). I love the mixes of length, turn geometry, hills... and the setting is also just gorgeous once you're done driving...- rw99

Go with the Pumas. Variety of styles, some not as... uhhhh, un-manly as the cheapies I mentioned above. Narrow but still comfortable.- rw99

Asymmetric driving shoes?
I know some (all?) of the Piloti models have a widened right shoe sole to aid in blipping the throttle while braking (heel/toeing). Who else makes driving shoes that are narrow on the left foot and widened on the right? I have big ol' size 13's, and I'm stuck in-between: my Puma Future...- rw99

Hopefully a simple help question
You might try a different charger on it... Some of the newer ones will incorrectly see a dead battery as a faulty one, and won't initiate a charge on it.- rw99

No, but I know that its last owner/driver was a Texan. One or two brokers in between, and it ended up here in California... lucky for me! PS Nice choice on your Challenger... I have an '09 SRT8 with a Vortech on it, too!- rw99

For once I actually used the "search" function and found a thread that's already answering my question. While it's pretty widely known that they measure you on the uphill between T5 and T6, they say they measure dB anywhere on the track. Personal experience? Always on the hill straight...- rw99
