Would you install a NOS serpentine belt??

Jeff, Thanks for your feedback! Makes sense to me.

Would you install a NOS serpentine belt??

I recently purchased an OEM serpentine belt for my '98 RT/10 on Ebay (NOS) for 1,50 € (not a typo! ... quite a good deal I'd say :) ). The belt seems to have sat on the shelf for many years. Although never used I am not sure, if it is a good idea to install it as the material might have aged a...

Decided to fix my sagging Headliner (Pics)

I am back with an update :) My neighbour was able what those 2 tailors weren't (or didn't want to do :dunno: ): She sewed the new elastic to the pockets. I then sewed the pockets back on to the iron carrier by myself. Probably the worst seam man ever made but luckily this is invisible...

Why not? Am sure she doesn't mind a second income :)

Decided to fix my sagging Headliner (Pics)

So, took the pocket to another tailor. Guess what? She also didn't feel being in position to do the job :dunno: This time, it had something to do with the metal frame. When I told her that this area could/should be done by hand and not by machine, she was just looking at me with numerous...

Decided to fix my sagging Headliner (Pics)

Thanks. With regards to the metal frame: I would think, that you sew this on by hand and not with the machine. When you look at the original part this seam is a very easy one and I am almost sure, that it was done manually already in the factory. I am more concerned about the replacement of the...

Decided to fix my sagging Headliner (Pics)

My plan is to replace the shot black elastic by new one. I showed it to a tailor but she said she has not the right sewing machine for this elastic stuff  . Didn't really understand it but will show it to a second one. Maybe she just didn't want to do the job.....

Decided to fix my sagging Headliner (Pics)

I used normal contact adhesive (a product called "Pattex") because it can withstand temperatures up to 110°C and applied it with a brush. Normally, you would apply this type of glue to both parts, let it dry a few minutes and press the two parts together so it will bond immediately. But this is...

Decided to fix my sagging Headliner (Pics)

Couldn't stand the embarrassing look of my sagging headliner anymore (RT/10) so I decided to fix it by myself. Got some headliner fabric online plus the OEM push in fasteners (got those from VPA) since I was sure to break some if not all of them (12 in total) when removing the headliner from the...

I can confirm THIS. Thanks a lot for sharing!!!

    2 check engine codes

That looks like the one I have (bought it also on Ebay but at even lower costs if I remember correctly). As far as I know, the skip shift indicator light will illuminate with or without a skip shift eliminator installed. The "only" difference is, that you actually can shift into 2nd or 3rd...

    2 check engine codes

Regarding the skip shift code: I had installed a skip shift eliminator (cheap stuff, basically you unplug the cable from the solenoid and cover the open connectors with a matching plug) which has not illuminated MIL ever since. Also, when I routinely connected my ODBII reader, it never showed...

    "Viper's sound like tractors"

I'd say Vipers don't sound like a tractor at all!:omg: They sound like a V10 vacuum cleaner..... ...if they still have their stock exhaust installed :smirk:

May be time for new exhaust

I guess I will be able to tell you next year... But I have read several comments on some German car forums confirming successful passing of our emission test with these :smirk:

May be time for new exhaust

Totally agreed. Stock system sounds like a V10 vacuum cleaner :crazy2:

May be time for new exhaust

Indy, do you have any figures confirming your statement? I have those installed but basically picked these because they were easy to get (for me) and for little money (I have #59959, spun 3" version, non ODBII). Initially, I was worried about the ODBII non compliance (actually, a Magnaflow tech...

    Sorry, another speaker upgrade thread

Hi Kevin, Hope you are fine and your installation worked out ok. As I was also searching for better speakers that fit the stock openings I went ahead and pulled out the stock door woofer to measure the exact dimensions of it and the opening (still missing the data for the stock tweeter...

    Sorry, another speaker upgrade thread

Great to hear from you again :2tu: Sounds like you made good progress. Pictures would definitively be great! As you had to use the Focal grilles for the woofers: are they flush with the door panel or do they stick out a bit? I am worried about the k. nee bolsters that might get hit when closing...

    Sorry, another speaker upgrade thread

Kevin, have you been successful in installing the speakers in the doors? I am very curious to know, if the Focals fit without any modification. I am also thinking to install better speakers but want to maintain the factory grille (at least for the woofer). It seems, that there is not much...
