    yes you can use even aircraft stripper, just dont leave it on. Let it lift the paint then scrape it off and wash it down with baking soda.

    Alldata is I think a division of Motors. They are about the only thing available if you dont have access to the factory manuals. I have had both good and bad luck with them. Great if you need general info, but sucks for diagnosing problems.

    The market has really dropped out for used hoods. You used to get $3000 for a nice one. Now they are only getting $1000-$2000 on ebay. Shipping plays a huge part in the selling cost.

    ok, I'll start... This is not true. The VEC 2-3 will work under closed or open loop. How do you think you trim the injectors at idle? Whn you are running injectors 2x the oem size how can you say the car is running under factory parameters? :rolleyes:

    I asked them to quote last year and they would not. They are not interested in doing these. It actually is cheaper to use a copper gasket and have the head machined for a o-ring. That would make a better seal. Lots of places will do the copper gasket. To really do it right would be to also...

    VEC2 is Very Hot

    is the box its mounted on the heater core? If so they could be some of your problem. I have mine mounted there also, but put a pc if insulation under it.
