Great to see the CC doing well at this. It would be a hard car to be competitive at this because tires that wide do not tend to be very forgiving.
It takes a huge amount of skill despite all the bozos who think it sucks. Truth is that most of the knockers (including several who road race)...
The V10 is very detuned. In bigger Cobra spec it makes over 600hp. If they ever do produce a few tuner V10 Mustangs - a few tweaks will turn them into serious weapons.... the sad thing (for us) about it is the SOUND
The sound of that Ford V10 is so sweet it'll make us Viper fans cry..... not...
The 2nd one looks a lot better. The rounded GTS roof looks good, I think the factory would probably run the rear glass a little lower, and the side skirts are way too low to be streetable - but the overall effect is quite good.
The topic has been gaining momentum on the orignial thread from page 2

I'm linking here because I want this post to be a future reference...
Freeflyer on the other site made a good suggestion....
"is there a way you can look at the stock timing table versus the VEC2 modified table? It could be that if the VEC2 table is advancing or retarding timing by X amount the problem occurs. If that is the case it might be a coil driver...
Bruce - you need to get out more.
A simple cam and head package with exhaust and air upgrade is good for adding well over 100hp at the wheels - and that is enough to pass your stock one given they get the same exit speed into the straight.
Throw in a blueprinted and balanced race shortblock...
Dan makes a very valid point.
I've seen the difference between what the AEM says (via pre cat sensor) and what the tailpipe mounted dyno reading says first hand - and the diference is as marked as described - around a whole point.
However - in the case I witnessed it was confusing because the...
Good post Sean - would you mind copying it over to the other thread as well - because it might help someone who does not visit this one. IT'd look better coming from you than me copying it. :2tu:
There has been some excellent dialogue on the "How Much Timing Can A NA Viper Take?" where an issue surfaced surrounding problems some people are having with VEC2 equipped Vipers.
This is not a criticism or necessarily even a fault with the VEC2 itself - but a problem that some cars are...
I agree. The old days when knock sensors were a pain in the neck because they'd trigger and detune so badly it made the cars slower than without them - is gone. With a good engine management system and properly setup - knock sensors are vastly better than guess work and good hearing.
Also...
Hey Mike - it sucks to have to go on the forum to be taken seriously. Hope it all works out buddy.
Dr Roof - I can't believe you have not got a straight answer yet - I have not been following this closely but recall you stating you had an issue several weeks ago.....
Mike and Dr Roof are two...
UPDATE:
Just to clarify the position and provide an update on the situation.
With a lot in commmon - Jason and I had talked about how we could work together.
The question was how best to structure that. There had been serious consideration given to restructuring the busines as a joint...
Good reading!

One sign of an oil being too thin for that engine is a noticable increase in valvetrain noise.... tip before comparing however - take real good notice of the valvetrain noise BEFORE changing the oil, then change and compare (you can't hurt the engine by trying it)...
Agreed, it seems a shame that the Brabus investment has to be duplicated given Brabus has a reputation for high quality, very fast 200mph Mercedes 4 doors.
The fact that Brabus has long been a staunch competitor of AMG and consistently outperformed the presitgious Mercedes owned AMG performance...
Re: > Most powerful SRT-10\'s -- who has them? <
Heffners Performance is planning to debut its SRT10 TT at the track at Ohio. It is not a race car, it is a daily driver developed to be driven anywhere at any time - so we'll all see how it runs together
Jason found an exta 40rwhp from a...
I'm with JR on this one.
The lower rpm engines have been all that has been required to date and they make phenomenol power and TORQUE when done right.
But those 5800rpm guys are going to be in for a spanking one day - and that is a fact.
You could rpm the V10 to 7000 with a top end change and...
Perhaps my informants (my left eyeball and my right) were deceived comrade, however I am not convinced. We should discuss this over a vodka, swap manly stories, and test each other with random questions from the little red book.
I am not sure what this would accomplish - but it could be fun...
That's right Vic - and I remember one night when you listened to them and were obedient to their dare.... in all 3 lanes :p :D :D
remember that?
:headbang:
Congrats to Dr Roof and to RSI for another very fast car. It looks great and the power curve speaks of great things to come at the track
See you there. :2tu:
That was a great run Sal - pity I missed that (wifes birthday), but awesome as it is - we both know there's still more there for sure. Amazing numbers from a stocker all the same.
Why build an engine when the stock one can pull those numbers?
Either to go even higher OR to make it LAST at...
Sal really knows the AEM and it was a pleasure watching him tune it. It is a great system and much easier to use than the MOTEC - but definitely not for amatuers as it will do whatever you tell it to and that is dangerous for young players.
Heffners Performance looks forward to learning more...
