wooohooo!!!!
Sounds awesome
Anyone who has the focus, dedication and persistence to take raw talent to world class competition in one sport - is also able to apply that same discipline and skill to another area of interest. Those that never thought Paolo could pull it off will be wrong -...
The pass was in south LA - not sure of the name of the lake - but it is a very scenic drive...
plus for the record - both Vic and I were COMPLETELY sober....
just thought I'd throw that in
...at least I was
Vic??
Is there something I should know?
hahaha
:D
Congrats Dan
It takes a lot of skill to win one of those events - more so in a big engined, bit tired car that is a lot less forgiving than a skinny tired car. It also takes a good setup and a reliable engine that can take high load for extended periods at low speeds - which means it needs a...
Hey Krazy PSI and Mike - great to meet you guys and glad you both made it back safe!
I know you'll be pleased with the power Krazy - Mark (the guy with the 9.4 sec drag car) reckons you've got the baddest street car he has ever been in and that car has redefined what a road car can be for...
Hey guys - thanks so much for your best wishes!
I came here as a tourist and decided to stay when Jason offered me an opportunity.
We are both excited about the future and are working towards finding new and better ways to serve the Viper community. With a great existing product line we are...
Hi everyone - long time no post as I've been in transit. I wanted to let everyone know what a great time I had in LA last weekend.
Time was tight but Vic very kindly had offered to catch up with us while we were there, so after a morning meeting last Monday we drove from north LA to south...
Price is something we'll work on as we'd like to sell them for what the factory want to charge us - which means we need to prune them back.... but in context, they simply will have no peer, so the price will be whatever it ends up being. We'll do our best to keep it down, but you can't buy a...
lol - man I typed that last post a bit quick - sorry for all the typos... it's all go here and I'll be off the air for a few days later this week.
to answer your question - we are trying to get them out this year. Right now that is all we can do, they're busy making boxes for some of the...
We are working on a permanent solution - a synchro box that will be rated around 1000lb ft - and have a shift time a fraction of what a T-56 has.
Prototype is still a wee while from ready for testing and we also need to test the market.
This will be a world class box and the price will be...
3 - we are working on a world beating transmission right now. I can't say too much right now because we are still trying to get it beyond prototype stage - what we can say is this - if we find the market will support this (and I think it will) this product will blow your socks off!
There is no...
:D
patience - the Gen 2 prototype was done from scratch in 3 months and ran 9.72 seconds on its debut. The SRT10 has a lot less room and is a lot more involved to bring it up to what Heffner Performance and their customers want it to be.
Good things take time and that time is not far away...
95% correct - you could also do it without a stroker or boost or NOS. Not sure how close it'd come in with the $15k budget however as I've not priced up what it would take - but I can tell you the power would be easy to achieve if you ditch the hyd lifters.
As for loss of bottom end on a n/a...
LethalViper - agreed - CP is best of the American brands.
However, they have many designs and some of them are exclusive to the tuning house or person that had them designed.
The actual design of the piston has a big effect on flame travel, efficiency, detonation resistance and prevention...
I sympathize. I had the same thing happen to me once over headers - except I met the guy and had helped him out before and so trusted him.... I never got the money.
lots of options - all the main tuners can help.
If you are willing to blueprint and balance your engine I'll connect you with the best proprietory piston combo for your application. They have a lead time of a few weeks, must have a blueprinted engine to work and be hand fitted and clearanced...
T & D are tried and true on the Viper - most tuners will vouch for them. I believe the Mopar Performance roller rockers are the same as T & D.
Jesel are the best name in racing - but I can't vouch from first hand experience about their Viper product - however if it lives up to their...
HA
I knew I'd get a bite :D
A AWD wagon wimpy?
don't think so - I wouldn't call an Audi RS6 twin turbo V8 wimpy - it has the same power as the Viper
MPV - like a Voyager = seats a large family and heaps of luggage space.
V6 Viper - lol, when I have my kids every second weekend - we are 7...
Modified Vipers have been recorded as high as 28mpg - because they have more precise control over their tune than factory settings... one such car was Paolo's 888rwhp supercharged beast that got 28mpg in the economy test of the magazine shootout - it did coast down hill, but then it drove up -...
Max - you can't be serious? You call Jason out for not throwing a race to get bragging rights? That's reaching for straws
A professional would abide by the rules of the race.
The object of any race is to win not lose. Do you think Doug lost on purpose so he could brag about it?
if...
:D
popcorn anyone?
donuts?
:D
Dr Roof - I know you are baiting while waiting - but Jason is right - whatever you blower guys do with your blowers - it can be upstaged on turbos
and will be.
I think the smack talk is great and look forward to the future battles on the track
a lot of...
Agreed Fast Freddy - I just brought up the turbos to correct the post talking about "lag" - it isn't throttle lag - in fact a turbo car can be very responsive - it just won't go to full boost instantly from low rpm.
