Maybe i should get both. Put the 9500 in my daily driver and the v1 in the viper and see how i like them.
Is there anything i should know if i wanted to buy these used? I see a bunch on ebay at great discounts.
Yes they were. I don't think I used anything special. Just a set I found at a local speed shop. The set came with mounts that slid down the original valve cover bolts.
Doing all this research really points me in a direction of a passport 9500ix as most of my driving is city driving and I don't speed much on the freeway. We also have red light cameras around here so this will come in handy.
What HREs are you selling with the car? 18/19, 19/20? Style? Wheels alone could be sold for 4000-6500 pending on style, condition and tires.
I would say 40-45k for the car, pending the wheels it comes with or you can sell the HREs separately and buy a set of factory 5spokes with tires for...
Tim coming from a gen2 car I was very disappointed on how slow my gen3 car revs. Even when my gen2 was stock i don't remember it reving up so slow. That was the deciding factor for me to get the aluminum flywheel. I know you had a gen2 before. How does your gen4 rev up compared to your gen2?
Man im so over high speeds i havent even had this car over 100mph LOL. I just like to go really fast for a very short period of time these days LOL. Im just getting that spliter for looks and looks alone.
Will def keep you informed about the extra spliter!
Thanks a lot. Very informative!!! So when a cop car is just setting/hiding there waiting for people to run a stop sign, does it send out a K or Ka band or does it need to have its radar on only when looking for speeders?
From what I hear its a big difference. Less rotating weight so your able to rev up your motor a lot faster. Kind of the same feel as getting more HP. The RPMS just want to rev up!
I decided to go 3:73 just because everyone that does run them says they are just SO much fun on the street and that's really what I'm after. Also running a 20 inch rear wheel will play a factor in the way the car will behave having these 3:73s vs 3:55s.
Cant wait to rev it up with that alm...
Thanks Tim! Just to clarify, Im just going with the ACR paint look. Im not doing the rear wing or the canards. I just love the ACR splitter!
The shop that is working on my car works on a bunch of ACR'S and comp-coups that their clients race. They also act as a pit crew at a lot of these race...
Yeah the car is gloss black underneath. I'm going with the ACR theme so Im going to remove the wrap from the roof, keep the hood unwrapped and wrap a gloss black stripe going down the bumper to follow the hood-lines down like an ACR. I'm still not sure if I'm going to unwrap the rear of the car...
When you guys say the escort has a lot less false alarms, does that make the V1 uncomfortable to drive around town with? Does it just go off all the time, how do you get used to knowing which signals to pay attention to and not?
