Cylinder heads spark plug holes tapered or not?
This quote and Allen (above) are WRONG!!! Dan is correct. Gen IV (and V) use tapered. If you have a GenI-III, make sure your heads haven't been worked on...The OEM plug for Gen IV is Champion RE10PMC5 Single Platinum Spark Plug. Transmission is difficult to shift! Please help
If you have a bad mount, you should be able to tell by looking at it. Make sure the mounting bolts are all torqued properly. If you double clutch does it shift easier?- Boxer12

IMO, SRT needs to build a 'halo' version of the Viper to put butts in the showroom. How many guys go looking for GT2's & 3's, and end up buying a C4? LOTS.- Boxer12

I have the Belanger race exhaust and can't even stand to drive an hour without windows up or ear plugs in. It's not so bad for short bursts at the track. Everyone says (and I Agree) it's the best sounding Viper they've ever heard at WOT. Good choice. Leave the rear O2 sensors unplugged bcz...- Boxer12

^^I think you guys miss the point...make the ACR more like a race car than the street car. The TA satisfies the street car occasional track day niche. It seems to me there are two options already to satisfy the core customers, the base SRT, and the TA. Why would they complain about a higher priced ACR?? I don't think you can have low tech heavy V10 and win this track war. Call me a skeptic I guess but I just don't see a couple hundred pounds...- Boxer12

The new GT3-R is $450k. That's twice the cost of the Comp Cpe and almost 4 times the ACR-X. Speed costs money. Is $200k really out if the question for a world beating ACR? People are keeping the Viper down with low pricing demands! Putting a wing and CC brakes on the Gen V isn't going to make...- Boxer12

Incremental improvements work for cars with strong customer bases, but I am not sure the Viper has that base anymore. It needs to blow away the competition again. I think Ralph and SRT can do it. Just my 2c.- Boxer12

Congrats SRT for a great race at COTA!
ANOTHER GREAT SHOWING BY TEAM SRT, with the 93 of Bomarito and Witmer coming in second place! Great push from Bomarito at the start of the race to get the SRT in contention! Decent showing by 91 too, which finished in 5th. :2tu:- Boxer12

The GT3-R is a purpose built racer, and I only buy street cars at this point. All 'race' cars become obsolete as soon as the next model comes out and bests the current model. Given the 'standard' for the ACR is the Ring record, I imagine that SRT has some or will get some good data from the GT3-R on the Ring and use this to develop the new ACR.
