Its pretty stupid to buy a viper then supercharge it and sell it with only 2000 miles on it. Buy the supercharged car with 150 horsepower more, for less money, and lose less money on depreciation.
An 08 with a paxton only putting down 687 rwhp? That seems real low, most 03-06s with paxton put down about 650 rwhp... Does the current paxton fit and work with the 08? I doubt they have produced an all new one for the 08 already. I mean the k&n intake doesnt even fit the 08 I belive let alone...
Re: New! Direct Fit High Flow Metallic Substrate Cat Assembly w/ Flex Pipe for 2003-2
Wow 17-20 RWHP is great for still having cats! How do you guys know exactly if you have the 2.5 or 3.0 corsa? I have a corsa, is it just a 2.5 adapter on the end of a 3.0 pipe? So you can just take off the 2.5...
Thanks Dan. It occurred at a stop light twice in one day, after just casual city driving. One time the red light came on at 0psi it was only there for a split second, then it went back up to 25psi. Then it almost happened again it dropped to like 5psi before it went back up to 25psi. Strangely...
I think it would be worth it to get the top part of the engine polished like that (chrome look) but that sounds like you have to take it off then send it out and wait, could be weeks of downtime from start to finish, maybe a winter mod? :(
I really like that chrome on your engine head. Or is it actually high polish? How much is that, or do you have to have it done? what does it in entail?
Ok took my 05 vert to a local dyno and hit about 460 rwhp and 497 tq with only k&n air intake / filters and corsa exhaust. On only 15% comes out to 541 hp at crank and 585 tq. If you calc 17% I'm at 554 hp and 599 tq, we'll just call it 600 for grins ;)
Also my air / fuel ratio is wack. It...
Actually it has to be more like a 19% dyno correction factor, I forgot that stock they're 510 hp not 500 so 427x 1.19 = 508 and I remember seeing that the factory said something about when somebody complained their 08 had low hp ratings that when you figure in their 20% dyno correction factor it...
The term "smooth tubes" is really used for gen 1 and 2 vipers. The k&n system has "smooth tubes" built into its system with the filters. I have it on my 05 viper. Dyno results have shown 16 rwhp. The 08 viper does not have a whole k&n system out yet with tubes and filters, however some people...
So it seems from the stock runs that the gen 3's have a correction factor of 17% on that dyno.
Stock 427 hp x 1.17 = 499 hp
Stock 436 hp x 1.17 = 510 hp
Whoaa GTS,
Here are the dyno results from our National VCA Treasurer from several cars. If you don't trust that you got problems --> http://forums.viperclub.org/srt10-srt10-coupe-discussions/564400-more-srt-10-filter-dyno-results.html
