Beside the fact that I do all the work on my vehicles, i think that you guys should realize this this "Viper Tech" thing is nothing more than a marketing gimmik designed to make peoples that bought a very expensive DODGE feel special.
Give me a break, what so special about working on a...
sometimes, less is more and that apply to the gas cap.
franklly if the viper logo was etched/engraved in to the cap it would be a different story but the way it is sticking out , il look like a wart.
Make me think of the fake vent ports or fake caliper cover sold on ebay.
Don't worry its only my...
Randy:
The issue is not about a provision for mounting the anti-submarine belt ( on a 5pts) or for the 6pt harness ( in this case the 2 anti-submarine belts mount to the same location than the lap belts) but rather that to work the way they are designed to, the belt(s) need to go right...
"Be aware if you order a new factory part from Dodge they have bad stock. i.e. the usin gthe correct part number will get you the wrong part. Have someone open the box before shipping and verify that you get a controller that has a "snowflake" on it.
Ultimately I had to go with a used part...
on the picture, the oil pressure show about 60psi and the car not moving/idling ( look at the speedo) so either this car has way more oil pressure than other or the engine was cold.
Good post.
Another big advantage of a dry sump system on a purpose built race car is to lower the CG by having the engine sit much lower due to the shallowness of of the oil pan
Correct, the evaporator is still cold and therefore the air blowing through it is still cooled.
10 to 15 hp seems to be a goo guess, on a low horsepower car,you can really feel a big difference when the compressor kick in.
Your rpm's drop at idle seems more related to voltage than Amps.
Low volts do a lot of weird things with computers, you should check the voltage at idle, with and without electrical load.
yes. 1hp=764W is for real.
Since he mention racing, don't you think the idea was that with no draw on the alternator he would be faster?
Steve:
Regarding the A/C cutting off at WOT
What take of lot of HP is the compressor therefore at WOT the A/C compressor clutch disengage but the lack of airflow is simply due to a...
This may answer some questions on what draws power from the battery and how much. I was supprised. I know from now on when I race someone I am turning everything off so my altermator does not steal any of my power. This blows my mind!
You realy believe that a couple of HP make a difference on a...

I should have say built date instead of VIN.
1002 is not the VIN but rather 10 ( october) 02 ( second day of october)
If you car was built in March 00, the 999 recall apply to your car.
I doubt that the volt gauge would react fast enough to show a very brief voltage drop or spike.
You could connect a digital voltmeter to the cigar lighter circuit and see if the lights pulsation corespond to a voltage change.
Whne you say that you don't use the A/C, in which position is the...
Do that happen with the A/C on or off?
If the A/C is on is quite normal to have a brief voltage drop, and therefore a brief dimming of the lights, when the A/C clutch kick in.
your modified wheels certainly look very nice but Mike make a good point and since he seems to have the engineering background maybe you should not dimiss his post as simply "trashing" your work.
