Great list of tracks with plenty of history. Would love to see what my GTS race car could do on the Top Gear test track.
BTW-My GTS race car is the same livery as your street car. iI is posted on UK Neal's web site.
Looks like you bought Dan's car. Well done. Set that parachute of a wing to zero angle and go rip up turns 8 and 9!
You had better run at least a 1:29.XX in that car.
Also be sure to check any assessories that are run off the serpentine belt. Had the same issue on my GTS race car. Nothing worse that heading into banked turn at 150 mph and lose your power steering. Replaced all pullies and still would happen. The culprit was the water pump. Once the water...
Wow, 42/40 cold. That is about 5 degrees more than we run them hot. Was close to 100 degrees at Friday's test day so we started them around 27/25. They shot up 10-12 within 30 min. I'm not a fan of the 888's as much as the RA1's, but oh well. If you start them much lower you will feel the car...
Anybody have a stock tranny shifter they want to get rid of? Not the knob, but the mechanism you may have upgraded from to the Hurst or B & M. My B & M broke at the track yesterday and my spare was nowhere to be found. Need to get another spare so the next race weekend isn't a loss. Thanks

Yes, IF you have the stock brake set up. 13" on the front is pretty wide, but doable. A 315 tire will fit nice up front with 335's on the back. Call John at CCW, they do sell tires as well. Sometimes take-offs.
Unfortunately the car is real. It's located in my home town. It also had a rediculous front splitter as well. It was owned by a woman who owned a medical office. It was in some pics on DC Performance's web site previously. It is worse in person!
Don't forget the fresh rubber to match the brakes. Your brakes are only as good as the tire's ability to grip the road. Stoptech makes great equipment.
CTS-V from Speed World Challenge was a Pratt & Miller tube frame chassis car. They ran the same tires (Toyo RA-1 and later Toyo R888) as the Viper. The Viper had to initially run a 275 front and 335 rear (same as stock). At first the CC's were running unrestricted. It wasn't until they started...
No jealousy here about "your" claim to be 7/10 the driver Tommy Archer is. I fail to see how 13 sec/slower a lap than the ACR-X driver 7/10ths the talent of Tommy. Ask CCBrian about my track experience. I get around the track just fine. HPDE vs. TT. Neither group is wheel to wheel racing. So...
* Motons (lowered 1" for street use. No more bouncy ride and the
improvement in handling is noticeable)
As there are several threads concerning this topic, can you tell us how the handling is noticeably improved and by what means you used to test this.
Thanks.
