Re: RE: My Viper Days Buddy is Dying - Need to Contact Carroll Shelby
I heard that Shelby Automobiles just filed chapter 15 bankruptcy. Can anyone confirm this?

Is Finishline giving a timeline for completion or is Roy demanding more money...again?
I think buying Dwayne a completed car is commendable, however, as I understand it, he has a special paint color and scheme that he wanted. This makes his car truely his car.
Please keep us advised on what-...
I have a 2 piece set of brand new SRT interior carpet. Could anyone use this? IF so, let me know. Proceeds will benefit the Gateway Viper Club.
Thanks,
Dave
For clarification:
Shelby never received the deposit or order from Finishline until much later than 11-2002. How much later, I don't know.
Finishline is the bad guy here, not Shelby. Granted, Shelby should know/care/be more involved with his dealers...especially when they are next door...
All,
As I understand the situation, the components have been shipped to Roy for completion. Shelby appears to have completed their part. Now, it's up to Roy Hunt at Finishline Motorsports to get it done.
I've been told that Roy will receive a request from Carroll to get this done ASAP...
Nice to hear that the VCA has been made aware of the problem and fixed it.
A complete vote is what's important. Thanks to Kim and Fiona for staying involved.

Bad ASP,
Keep in mind that you'd also be going from 18 inch to 17 inch wheels. Get a used set of 18 inch stockers off ebay for $2K and paint them. Or, try the SSR or CCW wheels painted.

Generally speaking, the dealers don't know about anything that we haven't already discussed here. I'd say Janni is correct in his mis-statement.
This is the best source of "insider" info.

Keep in mind that with technology advancements, we are seeing huge increases in relilable HP. SRTs 430HP 6.1L hemi is raising the bar dramatically for cars in the affordable range. How many sub $50K cars produced 400HP or more in the last 10 years? I'll be you could count them on 1 hand. How...
Bravo Chris! Individuality is what has made the Viper a "legend" in only 15 short years of production. Read these boards, Viper owners are a different breed and want their ride to reflect that.
I do feel bad for KC, and as such, I'm willing to accept one of those yellow-headed step children...
JGK95,
Historically, Vipers have not gone for market values at BJ. As such, this may be a good chance to get this car at under sticker. It wouldn't surprise me.

I used the factory panel and the top part of the autoform panel. Looks factory. The fiberglass panel that autoform sent me wasn't even close on fit.
