I sweat more than Chuck. I too have heard great things about the cool suits and hope someday to try one...but just some VW flexible vent tubing (@2-3 inches diameter) with a wire tie around the mirror can help vent the air in the window and you might "feel" cooler especially when wearing a full...
this is a bad idea. Use the Pilots. Hoosier R3SO3s are for the track. I tried em on the street and spent a long time waiting around with a flat tire. Whatever you do always run same tire all around.
I care about stopping and not about dust. The Brake Man #3 seem to work the best for the buck. The PFC 01 pads last almost 30% longer and cost much more but they only make them for the fronts on an 01 or later. Hawk and Pagids are good too.
2001 ACR...Anybody know of a spreader tool for the front calipers to move the pistons back for a fast pad change instead of the old screwdriver method. Apparently they are like pliers but open outward and exist for Brembo big reds so maybe for our calipers???
if I recall, the same thing happened to a Viper here in New York...I think he rallied the troops and came back a few weeks later with over 10 Vipers and they gave up and let them in.
Re: \"Calling Out 1BADGTS to the VOI Drags...Where he can WATCH Evan drive his car against all the people he has challenged!!\"
I'm gonna call the "magazine guys" now and maybe we can get a story on this..WOW!!!
Jerry..I was not clear on my earlier post. If this is a street car, I would leave it in as I do when I drive my ACR on the street.
My point here might be a bit skewed since my car is raced more than run on the street and has a full roll cage with rear bracing...so for me the position of the...
I had a Modena convertible run up on me on a busy town street and what was MOST impressive was the cool sound of the downshifts..I think he had the F1 paddle but I'm not sure. He gave me such a cold look as I made my left at the light..I think his son in the passenger seat wished dad had the Viper.
smoked em like lucky strikes all day long at Pocono except a Ferrari Challenge prepared car that had an ADDITIONAL 200k pumped in...that car could walk away from my stock 01 ACR. You must have encountered something special in car OR DRIVER.
Hey Sonny,
I can't speak for Archer's car, but on mine the 55mm restrictors strip off @12-14hp and 20-22lbs of torque. There are a few other "things" legal in GT2 that are not in T1. If it happens, this will be a great battle to watch.
I noticed Vette pilot and SCCA National Champ, John Heinricy ran a 1:37.797(new T1 track record) at Mid-Ohio last weekend so I guess he's back in for the Runoffs. It appears we will finally get the battle that Mother Nature took away last year. September 21st Archer will bring it home for Dodge!
Hey Paul,
I agree that the bias adjustment must give you more rear braking, hence better stopping distance..I can't change that with my set up but if I could wouldn't it throw off the computer since it is set to modulate based on the factory bias?
I thought they first look:
was it a race?
was it timed?
What is the event Sponsor???
How was the event advertised?
never heard about waiver signature? (thanks JonB)
I agree...the trophies and posted laptimes might make Viper Days a tough case.
By the way..why did the airbags deploy just from...
