The picture is a purge valve. The LDP pump should also be behind the front bumper for a 1999 and older viper. In 2000-2002 they moved the LDP pump to the right rear part of the bumper.

First I hope this sensor you are changing is on the DRIVERS side in the header BEFORE the cat (1/1).
The old sensor has a part number on it. You should make sure the replacement is a match.

All vipers are different. I have had the passenger engine mount fall out after I removed the bolts. I have had others that seemed tight.
Don't tighten the drivers side (large nut) until both mounts are in and the dowels on the mounts are sitting correctly in the vehicle frame.
