No no.. That was not me, just some "wild wing girl" I had to kick her out of there. I still look the same.
Yes the snow sucks, I have a customer who's viper is stuck at the shop right now. I put some exhaust on it ("thanks JonB") and he wanted to wait for the rain to stop on Friday. Turned to...
How come I am picturing a factory employee that just grabs the tires closest to him off the rack, because he does not care.
Roffey, I don't think you will have a problem with the 18 inch tires. It seems in 2008 Michelin was a bit overzealous with the amount of Gen 3 and 4 tires they were...
You are talking to someone who has 2008 tires on their car bought last summer. If I can't do anything about it and I can return, discount and call every warehouse you can think of. Then I am not sure where you are going to do your shopping.
You have no guarantee another brand of tire will come with a newer date code. If I order something I will not know until it shows up. It took four months to return the tires I did not want.
This is a manufacturer "issue". If the manufacturer is only supplying tires with a 2008 date code what would you have a vender do? Poop a fresh one.
Last I checked I was the only one that emailed Michelin (page 2). Something that I think might actually get results if more people did it. The...
No tire manufacturer will offer a discount for an older date coded tire. So you are suggesting all venders and dealers should lose profits if they are shipped tire that does not have a recent date code?
Keep in mind, we don't know what date of tire we are getting until it shows up and they...
Here is the responce to my letter
Hello Garrett,
Thank you for your email. We welcome the opportunity to serve you.
It is impossible to predict how long tires will last. Geographic conditions, environment, how often the vehicle is used, and tire maintenance are just a few...
The sellers have stated their position because the manufacturers have put them in that position. I am sure they would perfer to sell tires with a recent date code.
I have sent this link to Michelin, with a long email of our concerns about low milage per year and age. I will post the responce
If my dealer "Chrysler" orders a rear tire from Chrysler Canada who don't stock them and get the tires directly from michelin Canada, they will come with a 2008 date code. In the spring both front and rear were coming with a 2008 date code. Fronts are now 2010, sport cups front and rear are now...
I just had the same problem, we started a fight with michelin Canada, we kept returning the tires and another set with 2008 date codes would come. They will tell you they are good for six years and they are new.
Gen 3 feels like a dump truck hit you off the line and continues to accelerate at an above average pace.
Gen 4 feels like a lttle slower off the line, Then you hit 3000 rpm and you will be scared for your life.
They should want to paint it off the car, black is usually a good match.
Remove the front wheels
Remove the front upper part of the wheel well
Unplug the fog lights
Remove the double 10mm and bracket (fender to bumper)
Remove the 8mm bolts at the bottom of the bumper
Remove the 8mm...
Something else you might want to think about that has worked for me. (gen 3) My front bumper has clear bra, But under the bumper I have four strips of door belt molding from a pick up truck. It is the rubber guard that goes a long the door and it uses two sided tape to stick. It is about two...
You will need two fittings and both lines for this repair. I don't think your dealer is trying hard enough to get the parts.
They have 267 of each line at the warehouse.
1 fitting in stock at the warehouse. My dealer has 4 in stock right now. They should be able to see that on there...
