This color combo is still the greatest. I offered to trade red SS#1 for #6, but was met with a fairly fast "no" response. The car looks great in person.

Now, it's time to get started on Street Serpent # 7 (the first coupe!)...
Let's not forget the extraordinary Wayne Finch car. I think it was a complete custom job, so it was a probably quite expensive. It looks GREAT, and it's nice to know it can be done.

No offense taken what-so-ever. In general, constructive criticism has always helped my designs so it's welcome. I was simply expaining why I ultimately chose that design direction.
We have not done a CF car yet. It's twice the price for about 70 lb (guessing) weight savings. Although the...
Kenny,
Yes, the same windshield frame/angle, etc is the same for both cars. What I mean is, the the high, double bubble roof of the production car will get the heave ho and will be replaced with the lower com coupe roof (including scoop) as seen here:
This will also require a revised...
This is the closest we have. It's not exact line for line, but it was very much inspired by the comp coupe including using the 2" wider body and track dimension. We will be doing a coupe version in April (Street Serpent #7) that will have a lower Comp Coupe inspired roofline.
Current Project...
OK, A member here was nice enough to call in and give me the dimensions for factory 06 stripes. Unfortuately, the stripe still falls into the vent although not as much as a factory 08 hood. Bummer, sooo close.
Jeff
Whats the TOTAL width up front and Total width in the back?
Based on your info so far I have 8" of stripe (for a total of 16") but now I need the dimension of the space between for a total width.
Thanks.
Jeff
I really like the color. It's definately a much more interesting car to look at than the standard car. Six months is a long time to wait, so go ENJOY it!

Is there no respect for the BEST service anywhere? If it was easy for all of us Viper owners to have our cars serviced by Chuck , we would ALL have our cars serviced by Chuck.
Let us know what wecan do to let our voices be heard.
GREAT write up! Thanks for taking the time to show us this in detail. The new wires look pretty cool. I like the blue theme that goes with everything.

I followed one down I-75 from travers city last fall. I was along side it for about 5 minutes. The car was covered in cladding but you could still make out the basic dimensions and shape. It looks big, much bigger than a mustang. It was pretty cool to look at though and it will be nice to...
Can someone measure the total width of the factory stripe at the front and at the rear of the hood. If I know these dimensions I can run a line to see if they clear.
Thanks.
Jeff
Popular opinion is that a gen 1 or 2 car is the elite in Viper styling and that a gen 3 car is off the mark. The idea of having the Street Serpent next to the "reference" car is a real test to see if the emotional stying impact is getting closer to what it should be.
We played this game...
I'm trying to figure out how to do it before the yelloh car leaves. I live a mile down a dirt road that is pure mud right now so I may have to find a way to trailer it to the shop.
