The bad thing is that I can't remember how much of the pin the spring covered.
The good news is that I've located tons of companies that can make me the spring, if I send them either specs, or a sample. If I go this route, I'll have them make 100 so nobody has to go through this crap...
We talked a few weeks ago. I think these may be the only parts he does not have. :D
Unfortunately, I do not have a pic of the spring. I still have the pin that the spring goes around and clips to, but I will not be able to grab a pic until the weekend. :crazy2:
I called the usual suspects, with no luck. I'm waiting to hear back from Scharf, but I won't hold my breath. I figured it would be next to impossible to track the parts down, as I'm sure they'd rather you drop several hundred on the entire assembly. :( It sucks because the assembly came back...
Gotcha. I think everyone uses a different combination. I "stole" those off of an older list I found a while back when I was looking to change my fluids.
I went with all Mopar stuff, basically the first option in the list I gave earlier. The only exception was the plugs and wires. I went...
I thought I lost the pins holding my gas cap assembly together. Well, I found them and now all I'm missing is the small spring that goes over one of the pins. I'm sure I can call the usual sources, but I'm also sure they'd like to sell the whole assembly, not just one small part. I was...
You need to rent out that private facility again. I mean, 3rd gear at 50-55mph??? Really??? You may as well start out in 6th. Or maybe start out in 3rd, but both agree to ONLY go half throttle. :)
How about this, on the third honk(at the private track), just GO! Let the other driver go in...
The first picture appears to be the plastic guide that the window should be in.
If so, at least you've found the problem. Just reattach the plastic guide and you should be good to go.
If you plan to lay the smack down on a stock C6Z06 from 60-150, you're going to have to trap better than 125mph in the 1/4. Top end and it's a different story, due to gearing.
I had those problems. Got a new battery and all was good. One year later, same problems emerged. Got a new battery AND a tender and I've been problem free for over 2 years. :)
I talked to the Viper Wizard and he said the same thing that Viper 93 said. Hammer it out with a punch.
3 seconds after putting it in a vice, and it was out.
I'm guessing the whole assembly can be taken apart in less than a minute AFTER you do it the first time. :D
From looking at it, it appears a dental pick or something similar should be able to hook into the spring and free it from the pin. Putting the end of the spring back into the pin will be the fun part. :D
I'll try to take some pics of everything all taken apart, if I remember to bring my...
I've got the whole damn thing taken apart except for the pin on the base. It's the piece with the metal spring. It looks like I have to pop the end of the spring out that is in the pin. Any idea?
Here's a pic of what I'm referring to:
I've got #1 nailed down! :D
Next time Chad comes over, empty the tires out and have him see how long he can hold on to the caddie while pushing him down your driveway. :omg:
