I see your point 100%.
I realize it costs money to run this site but when I see information exchanged freely in almost every post, to arbitrarily attach a price tag to the well-written threads seems goofy, especially when the author intended for it to be shared with everyone.
If I'd have...
On my 1993 I removed the dash a number of times. If you pull the bezel around the radio/heater controls/cigarette lighter, there are 2-3 wires that connect to the back of the cigarette lighter. It's possible one came loose; on my old car they weren't secured very well and I'd always make sure...
In your examples you offer up goods and services...all anton asked for was information. When a fellow member asks for information on how to mod their car, I don't think it's out of the question to help them. People (including myself) ask you for help all the time, and you gladly share your...
Thank ya!
I'm gonna do HIDs and I should be done with aesthetic mods (unless I win the lottery or find a set of 19/20s on the cheap).
I have a list of things from ART that I need to do maintenance-wise. U-joint straps, brake pads, etc.
I've heard good things about the AEM so I may give...
I get that we need revenue to keep the site going and to sponsor events, but purposely holding out on a fellow Viper owner until he pays up like the rest of us is a little immature if you ask me.
MODERATOR EDIT LINK REMOVED
I ordered the smoked lenses. I sent Jason at Klearz.com the above Photoshop and said "how do I get here?" He said "I'll smoke them, then if you paint the housing black you'll have it." He was 100% right; the outcome was perfect.
Just to help dodgefever visualize (a.k.a. tease him)...:D
That first pic is dodgefever's car...I can't take credit. He had a professional photographer do that for him and I Photoshopped his stripes blue and made the side markers smoked because I wanted to see what my car would look like (before I swapped wheels and side markers).
Thanks for the...
The fascia looks a little worse than it is; the 3M film on there is yellowed and chewed up from the previous owner. I pulled the film last night while I was waiting for the paint to dry and cleaned it up under there. I'll be posting soon (with pics) about any DIY stuff I can do until I can...
After seeing how much cleaner a GTS looks with clear corners, I decided to bite the bullet and order mine. I did the Photoshop below and decided I'd rather have smoked lenses than clear so Jason at Klearz hooked that up:
All of the bulbs and the new lenses:
Housing removed (easier...
+1
I had them on my old RT and they never came close to coming off. If you were too rough with a microfiber around the edged they'd catch but they never peeled in the 2+ years I had them on.
I say do it. I don't like stripes on the Gen. Is because there is nothing to break them up on the hood, but on a Gen. II RT with a soft top I think the black would look really nice. Normally I don't like stripes on an RT (subjective, I know) but with a Mopar or Autoform spoiler I think it's...
No water/meth; a Viper-proficient friend of mine and the guys at A.R.T. haven't had the best of luck with it so I'm steering clear. I have enough mods to break on me for the time being ;)
I'll let Eddie know next time I see him to hit the dyno. A.R.T. will be pretty busy until the Mile is...
The springs were $225 plus shipping from Kuruma Motorsports on Ebay and the caps were under $100 from A.R.T. (but that may have been a price for me since I'd just had some work done). The only other expenses were buying a few larger metric wrenches and renting the spring compressor. The rental...
You're a nice enough dude...and DAMN RESOURCEFUL, might I add...I think someone that is THAT into cars would probably enjoy chatting with a fellow car nut and see where their car went. It'd probably do his heart good to know it's being taken care of like it is. My vote is give him a ring...just...
I jinxed myself a few weeks ago. I went to Starbucks with my wife and said while we were inside "I should bid on that fob on Ebay in case this one craps out...I'd be up sh*t creek." Go outside and lo and behold the fob doesn't work. Luckily it was just the battery and I walked into Target and...
I'm surprised no one corrected the douches on their production numbers...didn't Viper just hit 25k last year for total production over the last 17 years? Not 100k; I think they have us confused with the 'Vettes :D
A group of 4-5 of us were out for a drive and caught wind of a Ferrari breakfast...
