It's a shame that a car with that power never sees the dragstrip. I am sure that it is a lot of fun on the street and the engine a thing of beauty.
P.S Have you put a small N2O shot on your car...

Chuck,
Do you have any other mods? I'm trying to decide between heads, cam and nitrous versus a SC. TNT has done all of my work and they have done the work on 6 out of 7 vipers that run under 10...

Chuck,
What package do you have? What is the RWHP? How many miles have you put on it. And you've not had any problems???
Thanks

Frank described it best.
Last time at DLM they were building a green Viper with a redesigned system that was really nice. I'd like to see what kind of dyno numbers this car makes for a Gen I viper that was once limited on horsepower.
Chuck
I know DLM builds cars for many dealers that are brand new with the cast pistons. You can use the stock cast pistons but I don't think you can run high amounts of boost with them.
Chuck
I haven't had any work done by HMS but I'm sure they have a very good product. My experiences with DLM have been outstanding and first rate. I would highly recommend you speaking with Doug if you haven't already? He would be gracious enough to answer all of your questions. Doug's car's are a...
The best thing to do to a Viper is to SUPERCHARGE IT!!!
You don't have to go to the extreme to get power as you would a normally aspirated car and you'll make more power. You can still take the car to formal functions without people looking at you as if your some kind of snotty teenager. The...
Trey,
DLM is one of the biggest Viper tuners in the Country. They build as many engines as Arrow but on a performance level. If your ever in Florida, you have got to stop by DLM. Mark my words: I have NEVER seen so many Vipers and engines under construction in my life! Until you own a DLM...
Jamie,
I've had my DLM SC car for two and a half years. There's been virtually NO maintenance other than oil changes, keeping the belt tight and keeping the air filter clean. You don't have to raise the boost off the line, just the rpm's as you would a NA car. The supercharger makes plenty of...
With the reputation and performance LPE has to offer GO FOR IT!
If NA is your goal than he would be the man.
I would also explore your options for a DLM Supercharger. For the same price I've had two and a half years of 850 hp outstanding performance full time. Or for half the cost a 700+ SC hp...

Kevin thanks for the information. I can't imagine going from 700 rwhp, adding 20% more power with an intercooler >
That's 700 rwhp + 20% more intercooled power = 840 rwhp!
OR -- 700 rwhp + 30% more (DLM Level 3) intercooled power = 860 rwhp!!!
It makes great sense to me, just got to...
I'm looking forward to upgrading my DLM level III package too. Mine puts out 700 rwhp over 800 at the engine without nitrous. When we dyno'd the first time it was in the dead-heat summer, I had driven the car to the dyno and didn't give it much time to cool down. The owner of the dyno facility...
Re: The best looking supercharger I\'ve ever seen.......
Looks like a Roots type system. They make good low end power. Doug Levin Motorsports is designing a DIY supercharger system for both the Vipers and Vettes that should be available soon. That should be interesting.

Re: Flame suits on, here\'s my question
I'm no expert but what would get traction in 20 degree weather? Would a 4wd even be helpful with the amount of torque and horsepower the Viper makes? If Dodge ever did make a 4x4 Viper I wonder if the drivetrain would hold up to the power anyway? I guess...
Boost!
Any high performance package requires some type of maintenance sooner of later. I've had a blower car for more than two years. The only maintenance I've had to perform has been changing the oil and keeping the proper tension on my belt. My car has nitrous on it with the blower. It is...
FastFreddie,
Way to go! I'm not sure about the Level 2 hp numbers. I think they make over 700 horsepower at the engine, I could be wrong. I have the older Level 3 and we've dyno'd at 689 rwhp. I know they go higher but we dyno'd in the summer heat after a long drive so I think I could make as...
