Challenger Hellcat gets 707HP!
Perfect test and tune drag night car,at least, very low 11s (maybe 10s)with some tires....Will not have beat up the fancy 10 second VW(911 TS) so much now on Test and Tune when I get a hellcat... Great job on Hellcat,so Badaxxx...The hellcat will run with or beat the Gen.5 in the quarter mile with that amount of HP and a Auto easy..DRs, it will spank it..Now show the love to Viper owners /possible future owners with the same enthusiasm and SRT is all set. A Note to Dodge
Very Good Suggestions... Weather open now or not,if the Viper is not improved(Wow Factor Stuff) and marketed correctly in the future, that plant will be closed in a year....I mean they have hundreds of new Vipers sitting at dealers now they can not sell... The reason I repeat this is because it is the way forward for Viper if it is to survive...Period..... In no way do I think Dodge should eliminate a stick in the future Vipers,they are fun and I very much enjoy them and always will.Just add a DCT for a option... Hellcat in viper
After owning 3 Vipers and now on the second 911 Turbo S ,DCT,you are correct ,the DCT Trans w/LC are amazing...A Gen 5 with a DCT would smoke most everything...My 991 TS runs close to mid 10s all day long bone stock...A Gen.5 just how it is with a DCT will go mid 10s every time ....Go drive a...- FLL-B/W-GTS

You need to come about 10,000.00 off that price to sell it.One can buy brand new 13 for what you are asking. Hellcat versus Viper transmission
Friend just bought brand new Gen.5 couple days ago(Drove it),first gear way to long,but it is way better than 3 the Vipers I have owned before.Other than that,he trans and clutch are excellent in the Gen 5.. I have been shifting gears on HP cars for 25 years...Still like it for fun/Vipers.. Yes,I have attempted to out shift the PDK in Sport Plus with the paddles on the TS,as a human being,NOT even close..The DCT/PDK does everything perfect every time,that includes racing to just cruising around...- FLL-B/W-GTS

Having owned 3 Vipers,C6 Z06 and ZR1 ,I can tell you first hand that manual transmissions can not compare in any way to new DCTs on HP cars.On second Porsche 911 Turbo S 11/14 and the shifting days are over.Porsche does not offer manual trans in any new 911 Turbos,GT3,918s or future GT2s...Go...- FLL-B/W-GTS

Viper GTS vs 991 Turbo-S
Well ,some Viper guys can be Porsche guys also. So,to that end, went with my friend(Dr.RW) yesterday to a Dodge Dealer in Palm Beach and he bought himself a brand new SRT Viper (Silver).Dealer was excellent and he got a excellent price. So we all know a Turbo S will destroy a Gen.5 in a drag race and I will tell you, it will hang with a Gen.5 on a road course for sure with non professional drivers. Massive GM Recall = One Good Reason to get a Viper instead of a Vette
Agreed,Viper Quality is outstanding at factory and can be compared to Porsche 911 quality.Been to both factories and witnessed this first hand.Have owned C6 Z06 and ZR1 and neither compared to Snake or Porsche in quality.The employees putting together these(V/P) cars care and do not do it half...- FLL-B/W-GTS

Sure discussing a Porsche,GT500 or others is relevant to this forum, as we are discussing straight line street performance,a place were the 911 Turbo S happens to dominate..... On the street/track,the 560Hp/556 Tk/AWL/DCT w/LC.,10 second bone stock 911 Turbo S will destroy everything from the dig and thru the quarter,except a Mclaren or Bugatti..Period... Smart Engineering will trump HP numbers all day long in modern HP cars... 991/911 TS is the best 10 second...- FLL-B/W-GTS
