I have had the exact issue. For two weeks no problem swapping tires then one morning “ding”. I originally thought it was because I changed the PCM but, now I am thinking its something else after reading your post. I thought about damage but can’t see how. Weird. It’s like the car let you...
I see you have the new AF roll-bar. I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago in chrome. How do like the wind baffle with the roll bar? I have been thinking about getting one.
Here’s where is put the antenna, works great, looks OEM. I took the back panel off and used a heat gun to make the plastic soft, then pressed the antenna into the heated area to form the proper shape.
Leather is the only material that should be in a car, everything else looks cheap. When the leather wears out replace it (bigcarrot is right on).
It reminds me of my mother who bought this beautiful set of leather luggage from Gucci and put canvas cover on them so they would not get messed...
I can almost answer that question. The times are the same.
The almost part is that I don’t really have a convenient place to do ¼ miles so, I pretty much stick to 0-60 mph. The TC does not improve my times, it does make them more consistent however. I average about .20 faster with the TC...
I plugged up an OBD and it told me there was a fault in the primary/secondary ignition system, so I started pulling plug wires off one by one to see which cylinders were not firing. 1 & 6 were not, then studied the diagrams. I put a meter on the coil posts I found a short across 1-6. Ah...
I have received quite a few inquires about how the Racelogic traction control has been working since I installed it about a month ago. I reported back that I really liked the unit and everything was fine. It really allows you to step on the accelerator with confidence.
Then the night before...
Re: Drag Radials on SRT-10\'s?
No need to switch the calipers, just the little bracket. It’s held on with 1 screw, easy to remove and swap, (in my picture is it’s the yellow zinc screw). The bracket has a star pattern that allows you to index it to the proper orientation.
The kit is over...
Re: Drag Radials on SRT-10\'s?
I should also mention that the little black bracket that the cable end loops through should be switched from the right wheel to the left wheel. I think they were $150 from PartsRack, don’t quote me though.
Re: Drag Radials on SRT-10\'s?
I did not understand how the e-brake relocation kit was going to work either till I took a closer look. The only thing it does is move the linkage out of the way. It’s easy to install, 10 minutes per wheel. You will also have to re-route the cable through the...
You make a good point. What we don’t know is what prevnine11 means by “way too close”. I re-checked my clearance and it’s about .08”, but if I wanted .25 clearance, I would need to use a 5/16 spacer. So the comfort level on clearance is the issue I was addressing. I had plenty of thread...
Calm down, I had to do the same thing with my HRE’s. I used (2) .06 spacers on each side. You don’t need a mile of clearance; I probable have about .10”. you are most likely coming very close if not hitting the tubing. You can very easily (gently) bend the tubing back a tad for even more...
Re: Sport Cups on HRS\'s
Yes, I have switched between the wheels and I have had no problem with the wheel sensor. However, I blew the computer and had to change it out. Now, I have a sensor warning problem with all wheels. I have been busy so I have not had a chance to work on it. There is...
Re: Sport Cups on HRS\'s
I am running about 34psi cold which is a little on the high side. I find that there is less snaking and ridge running at a little higher pressure.
Re: Sport Cups on HRS\'s
I got the car running Saturday, just in time to go to the track. I do not have the TC hooked up, I sent it back, so when I get the new TC back I will give it a try. The tires do need to get warmed up before they grip, that I have figured out. It seems that I have had...
Re: Sport Cups on HRS\'s
Since I have changed shocks, wheels and tires its hard to isolate each effect. Have I got the Motons tuned right, working on it. The Motons are great, much better than I thought there were going to be. No more bouncing over rough pavement. Alignment for the new...
Re: Sport Cups on HRS\'s
Soooweeeet, oh yah. I ran my new Sport Cups at Barber this weekend and they did great. As for the comments that were made about squeal, these tires do not squeal like a banshee the way the Pilots do but you are comparing apples and oranges. The squeal is such a...
I had the same problem on both my SRT’s. The stock pipe coming from the front has a little pin, grind a notch in the Corsa to line up with the pin. That will keep it from falling. If you have no pin, put a small sheet metal screw through both walls. The vibration will allow the Corsa to...
