Re: \'03 Viper vs. 03 Z06 - Automobile Mag test results
The only significant positives the article* had to say about the SRT was the improvement in braking and better overall handling than Gen II, both of which I think are very meaningful. However, the article was more a Z06 vs SRT comparison...
...and what about the short piece in the current Road & Track bashing the horsepower wars of several manufacturers?
If I wanted that kind of anti-car talk (with plenty of environmentally friendly tree hugging thrown in), I'm sure I can pick up a copy of the Sierra Club mag.
We'll look back...
Congrats on the decision. Hope you've found a nice one for sale. Not a bad idea to run a Carfax so you don't get surprised with a reincarnated wreck after all.
Glad the 2004 was "ordered" from a quality dealer.
My concern was that there could be a number of car dealers that'll make promises, take money, disappoint. There certainly are folks around that have unpleasant Viper ordering or delivery experiences (no, I'm not talking about from the dealers...
I'd have some very serious doubts that any 2004 models are truly officially spoken for; maybe a dealer can post as to whether Dodge is already taking 2004 orders prior to delivering any 2003 models??? Check the meter below to be spared the traditional dealer hype---it's pretty unlikely that...
Re: I\'m dying here!
Give us a couple of days to get T.D. (Tropical Depression) #9 out of the way. Lots of heavy rain but it's heading away northward (actual northeast) in the Gulf of Mexico. Going from an Official 80% chance of rain here tonight down to 40% and then to 30% over the next 2...
Re: Two 10\'\" subs in a GTS
Gotta get a couple of big subs in the Viper for more impact while watching those Jurassic Park DVDs right??? Nonetheless, Cartman says, "Kick asp!"
Dixter's right. Check out the amazing autopia site.
Also, there's more info on various types of foam applicators and the Porter at http://www.griotsgarage.com/catalog.jsp?&SKU=10625 (though one should do some comparison price shopping.)
Yikes. Vipers on the tube or the UMiami v UFla football game?
Is this program typically just on public television stations? I'd better go program the TiVo for MotorWeek (one word?) Congratulations Gus.
The SRT truth is out there.
Whiners, constructive criticizers, and (car) color commentators mixed together yield one common uncommonly good, improved vehicle. Cartman and the car gods are getting a bit happier. Cool.
As someone who ordered an SRT, I'd sure expect to have a bit of priority to drive one.
For whining or crying purposes, "Remember, Towelie says bring your own towel," (South Park-ism)
Fred's right. $600/ day for good instruction is cheep hahaha.....hey, I'd probably settle for $800/day in Homestead with Vipers and quality teaching.
C'mon, someone run a school here in Homestead...with Vipers!!!
Much of the postings here are opinions. In mine, I'd say that Joe took a lot of great pix of a substantially improved SRT but they weren't, to me, just of the "good" angles---his final shot of the front view of the car coming at you doesn't thrill me like a Gen I or II does...and wild horses...
Re: Girl\'s Car?
...then we'll need to modify all the smilies ...anyway, if Dodge sells more Vipers to women, that's not a bad thing...in fact I think I'd like to meet those women (though the feeling might not be mutual). Besides, the SRT ain't no VW Cabrio; THAT'S a girlie car!
To all those who on the original SRT, you got the job done (more or less).
Many more thanks though to all the great folks at CAAP for creating that much improved final version...especially in black (good thinking Jerry)!
Why mess around to maybe save a few bucks when the K&Ns are tested, guaranteed, and are currently used by many Viper owners and by Dodge from the factory for all ACR Vipers?
Just call JonB (he's actually a VERY helpful smart aleck--unlike me---the bad kind of smart aleck) or go to his site at...
