    $68.6k for the 2002 GTS is a very good price. The $72.3k for the 2001 sounds high.

    Someone in Chicago posted recently about buying a new '01 GTS at $64k (or $64.5) and I saw one advertised by a dealer in the VCA classifieds asking $66.5k about 3 weeks ago. Believe both were without stripes. Under $67k with stripes sounds decent to me.

    Depending on the model, one reason for higher noise at higher RPMs could be that this Alpine might have that compensation feature switched "on" which automatically increases the volume at higher speeds/RPMs

    Luis, 1.) As pointed out above, drive gently at first, especially going around curves. 2.) Don't worry too much; as far as manual transmission cars go, the Viper is easier than many more "common" cars to drive. 3.)     Waiting until 1/1/03 might save a buyer of a NEW Viper close to $1,000. Also, watch those auto tag agency folks; mine was ready to charge me state sales tax on the luxury tax until I corrrected them and they verified that indeed they were wrong!
