It doesn't rate up there with my whole house central vac or 16 gallon floor model. But on a scale of 1-10 and my 16 gallon being a 10, the central vac a 9, then I would rate it at a 7 (in terms of suction). But that's ok for what I'm using it for. Which is primarily to vacuum my cars' interiors...
I have a Craftsman 5 gal, 5 hp Clean N Carry vac. It mounts on the wall and takes up very little space. You can remove it from the wall bracket if you need to. $99 at you local Sears.

Since you're asking for opinions ......
The grey stripes and grey wheels look absolutely awesome! :2tu: A finishing touch would be to paint or powder coat the gas cap the same color. That's a winning combo and I'd stop right there. The orange pinstripe is overkill and looks as though you had...
That's a great looking top. The lines flow very nicely and it looks like it was meant to be there. Congrats to Jeff for designing great piece.
Is that a Hellcat you're building?
I agree with that statement! :2tu: It's very light, much better looking then the factory box and a breeze to change out the filters. Quality product.
Factory 10 manufactured the original box for H-M-S but now makes them exclusively for Vipair so it is a Vipair CF box. I bought one from...
Welcome to Viper Nation my Blue & White brother! :2tu:
I went with a Carbon Fiber Airbox from Steve Prescott (he posts as: GTS-R 001)
Also, get a couple pairs of K&N filters while you're at it. One pair for the car and keep a clean pair on standby for when you need to...
I'm not a real fan of cleaning filters either. Like my K&N air filters, I'd buy 2 sets of filters and keep a clean set on hand. If there was an advantage to it like better filtration and better flow then I'd consider it. Not sure if it would benefit me economically since I only put about 2K...
Before you go the insurance route or the "pay out of your pocket" route, try filing a claim with Caltrans. They are resposible for keeping the roads clear of debris. If the CHP call logs show that callers have called in and reported the debris in the roadway and Caltrans failed to remove it in a...
Has anyone had any experience with this oil filter? It's reusable and they claim that it'll filter out particles down to 35 microns. It also has a rare earth magnet to capture metal particles.
What size particles do the OEM or Mobil1 filters capture? Just wondering if it's a better way to go...
It's kind of pricey but I bought the 4100K Philips kit from hid-online.com. Components are made in Germany. Click here: 4100K-9005
Stock light
4100K HID
No, I didn't have to cut the wires. I was able to swap the connectors without cutting the wires. The internal pins were the same, I just swapped the external connectors.
I have the Philips HID kit. I had to switch the polarity of the leads going from the ballast to the bulbs. You might want to try that.
This is everything that came with my kit.
Lauri,
That's an absolutely awesome Viper you've built! :2tu: Congratulations and enjoy your ride!
Snakebitten, what's your malfunction dude? You've made your point about the fact that you like big wheels and you hate wheel gap. That's your opinion so apply it to your Viper...
Re: \'01 and \'02 GTS Owners- Any interest in Front and Rear Wilwood Brake Kit?
Rob,
How do I keep the allen bolts on my Wilwoods from rusting? :D j/k
Wilwoods are great brakes. Night and day difference compared to stock.
Sounds like you might have an aftermarket panel. Maybe an autoform. Check behind the seats and see if there are any cutouts for 5 points harnesses. A stock panel will not have cutouts.
Almost 1,000 bucks! That's kind of steep. I had to replace the fuel pump module in my 97 at around 12,000 miles. I paid $392.50 (List was $524.00 - VCA discount) for the module and my Viper Tech charged $150 for labor. That's no where near $1,000. Isn't it great how you have to spend hundreds of...
I'm currently using factory settings which are:
Camber -0.20F, -0.50R
Caster - +6.0F,+1.0R
Toe - +0.05F , +0.10R
I prefer factory settings. Dialing in more negative camber will give you better cornering but will also make the car a little more "twitchy." Remember to fill your gas...
