Viper = Expensive Oil = Cheap
~ 1500 miles or 3 months.
Manufactures have a "Cost per mile". Extend the recommended oil changes and CPM is lower. Their loss only under warranty. Yours after that.
I don't use my Viper for a daily driver. Working on my Viper is a hobby and I don't...
Hey Tony,
The 1996 that you are talking about: Is this the car on a MSO? If this is the same car I am thinking about, he would NOT take $100k for the car. RyckyRacer got turned down on the 1996 and ended up buying a 1997 for $60k+
I thought about what he paid. Not too bad since he got a 3/36...
Fine Year Adam. 98 and 99 oh yea!
eBay is a good contact point. But let me warn you, NEVER buy a Viper off of eBay without inspection, either by you or someone reliable.
I have a 1998 but there aint no way I would sell my car for 47k. I don't think 57k would buy my car. You are looking for...
A Blue/White 1996 "NEW" on a MSO with less than 15 miles will bring $100k today. Same car but 1997 will bring $65k.
Your car in question has mileage. If it was still on an MSO with warranty to start the day you buy it...it is worth 60k even with the 858 miles. But since it appears to be a...
WOW!!!!! NEVER!!!!
I don't even leave my car in the driveway during the day.
There are exceptions that would be beyond my control: Viper Days or VOI would be examples.
Viper Law:
No Garage = No Viper
Re: Just ordered Corsa 3
JonB said it. The early systems seemed to be nothing more than a factory replacement. Raspy sound and not very aggressive.
Borla does have a deeper sound compared to Corsa. About the same as B&B. B&B is a little louder. Maybe too much for some.
My Borlas do...
Swat,
That is dripping you see, but not from a Viper. I will let you guess from where it might be coming? Hint... it's coming from one of those cars in the picture.
Oil changes can be related to how you drive. Some of us use their Viper on a regular basis…almost like a daily driver, others run Viper Days.
Then we have those that drive their cars on nice days but really hard. I never abuse my Viper. I let it warm up, and then I “get on it”. So my...
David,
I am a little on the Dealers side. After-market interior can change a lot of things.
I can help with the door. Take the side cover off in front of the door. You will see it is fully adjustable.
Place a floor jack with a piece of wood on it. Only make contact with the door frame and...
Is it time? No you past it already!
You have 3300 miles on your Viper since the last change. I would have changed the oil in my daily driver 300 miles ago.
I change the oil in my Viper anywhere from 1000 to 2000 miles. Oil is cheap, your Viper Engine is not.
Thanks Kurt. That sure is a clean garage! I need to move my Viper Banner over to the lift side...Ferrari...what is that? Get me a drip pan...there is a Lotus above the Viper.
Did you guys notice I have the FASTEST lift....It's Yellow!
I thought the same thing!
If someone got hurt and reads this post, how many yellow 2001 RT10 Vipers are there in Queens? Not many. A trace back to your TCP/IP address would nail you in court.
If you can, I would edit the post and remove the text.
Jason Carter,
Some of these guys pick on the new guy a little too much. You are lucky that you are in Kansas City. We have one of the most active and friendly clubs in the nation.
If you would like to join us for our monthly meeting, it is this Tuesday night at Barley's in Lee's Summit...
I have been around a lot of Exotic cars. I consider the Viper a very very good return.
It's all relative. Look at the guys that paid 1.2m for a Ferrari F40, sticker was about 450k. Today they bring 350 to 400. Those buyers have lost a ton of money!
You can buy a $55k SUV and in five...
