    How long will my clutch last?

    I got 40K out of my stock clutch, but I really feel that the flywheel was a bigger problem. I feel that the flywheel warps too easily when heated, causing hard shifting. When you start missing 3rd, time to pull it out and get it trued.

    what do you do/use to get wheel wells showroom new?

    I used orange cleaner back in my show days. It leaves a film of oily residue that makes it easy to clean. I also makes it more easy to remove burnt rubber from the dragstrip.

    Whoop-de-doo-da. 4hp and defeatable air bags. I put the tubular heads on mine for $100, and actually unplugged both my airbags for racing. No $$ difference. Just choose one based on emotional reasons, like your kid's birth year or something.

    the hood problem can be fixed with using 265-275 and not 285 tires. the rubbing issue can be fixed by using the ultra low pirelli tires (as if we could ever give up our pilots)

    Are BFGoodrich tires any good?

    I bought some once for my '95, but was discouraged from using them. Other people mentioned that they aren't forgiving, and let go quickly like a slick. My pilots make a lot of noise when slipping, and then they change to a howl right as they start to let go.

    bounced off rev-limter (question)

    I've shifted to the wrong gear a couple of times before while accelerating on the track. The tires seemed to lock up instantly, and I was back on the clutch before they could grab the pavement and overrev the engine. Gotta be quick, though.

    side pipe swap, please advice

    stock sidepipes sound like an L-5. Add borla headers and a loud as heck muffler and it'll sound BAD. I love my '95 going under bridges. Loud, but worth it. I'm not your average Joe, however.

    I like that detail spray bit! I did that for the 1st year. A little the 2nd year. Now, I haven't washed my red car since the ViperDays finals! I've driven it about a dozen times since then. Am I bad? :o
