This is a great mod and one that I will be doing soon too.
For anyone that is under the opinion that this doesn't add anything other than aesthetics leds light faster than incandescent so the person behind you see lights earlier so reaction time is improved. Were talking milliseconds but...
If you're not sure if your car had the recall done just look underneath and/or the rear frame behind the wheel. You would be able to spot two flat plates welded to the frame. If you do a search you can find pictures of what exactly it looks like.
So the recommended filter is comp coupe? Who makes that? Where do we get it? I've been told by the Viper engine builder that Wix was the best flowing filter to use.
I guess that's one of the benefits of owning a Viper. You get attention whether you want it or not. :dunno:
Seriously, when I'm out driving I expect cops to stare because they're looking for an excuse to pull you over. You just have to be extra careful and drive like somebodies watching you...
Yeah, those won't work. I've tried that and the hook just won't go over the springs. You have to find the ones with a pointy hook that's a little longer or the expensive hydraulic ones shown from the previous post. I actually still have the set that I used when I did my half shafts if anyone...
Umm, I'd have to disagree somewhat. My sub is facing up towards the hatch and almost parallel to the angle of the glass. I do have some cancellation which I didn't intend when I built my sub enclosure. The vibrations are bouncing off the glass and reflecting straight back into the sub which...
Looks like I'm going to have to go to the SCT route again. I wanted to replace my boost controller & VEC with the AEM but looks like AEM prices are going through the roof.
Now instead of one unit I'm going to have to have SCT, Boost controller and VEC. It just seems like a lot of add-ons just...
Nah, the car is detuned to around 740rwhp right now. The 1300 number was when they had it on the dyno and only did it once. One of these days when I get around to getting an AEM I'll have it tuned to around 1000 and leave it at that.
If you have your engine apart do it now! Upgrade to billet mains.
Not a day goes by that I don't kick myself for not doing it when I had the opportunity.:brick:
Be aware that certain colors come out smoother than others. The reds and yellows are smoother. Silver is more difficult to get smooth. Can't remember why but that was my experience anyway.
Every vehicle has vents to move air. When they added airbags in the '80s they had to really enlarge the vents. I've seen high speed film that showed windows getting blown out when there wasn't enough venting.
Well consider the volume of air that both airbags contain. Then consider that amount of air rushing through the cabinet at supersonic speeds. Where can it go? Either blow out the windows, or out vents. Also when you're driving with the windows down there will be back pressure build up in the...
Nice build but I think you overlooked something. The vents are blocked.......
Keep in mind that just because it's not totally sealed doesn't mean enough air displaced from both airbags can be evacuated in 8 milliseconds.
I think if you cut off the wings you may be able to solve the problem.
